It was such a haunting experience that I keep on coming up with those unsavoury scenes until now. Before joining the programme, I had never conceived of these kind of cruelty and violence acting on the animals. Here, I just want to say, cruelty to animal is not tolerable.
So shocked was I that I met an abandoned Chihuahua, called DonDon ,which is full of wounds on his legs, his body and even his head! When I cast my first glace on it, I was entirely penetrated with fear. How come his owner could be so insane that he did such an inhumane act on this small, vulnerable animal? There were at least 10 wounds on his body and his toenails were pulled out! After asking DonDon's person-in-charge, I know that he was a new case received by the department. He was found lying in a gloomy lane jsut a day before I met him. After a simple treatment and a body check, he was going to have surgery, or even subjested to euthanasia.
What is certain is that he did have a master before, but why he would be in such an evil condition? Think of this, I couldn't help sobbing. I cried for is precious little life. How could his ex-master be so fierce? Treating a pet as a non-living toy? Such a gang-like act was really outrageous. Lives are respectful and precious. All pet-keepers, please respect your friends, a matter of life!
Another tragedy happened on a female cat which was lamed by severe attack. According to the staff, she was finding food beside a rubbish bin when they first saw her. It is suspected that she was lamed by accident and was abandoned afterwards. Another shocking discovery is, she hesitated to eat the food she found. The only reason to it is that she had lost her natural ability in eating due to her ex-master's extra care, which also implies that her ex-master had ever loved her very much. So, I wondered why she would be abandoned. Is it just because she was lamed? The disparity of her change of life, form a paradise to hell, was extremely unbearable foe her!
Even if pets are toys, you would clean your toys very often. You would protect it from being damaged. But why are those pet-keepers so cruel that they treated their pets even worse than lifeless stuff? Is their acts in line with humanity?
No abandon, no cruelty to animal !
