Movie -- Scent of a Woman
 

This is a pretty old movie. 1993 produced. It surprises me. Nice movie actually. 

The main character got the prize of “Best Actor” Oscar. This movie talks about an old retired上校. 

This上校 was blind was no more than five years. Since his daughter wanted to go out travel, 

he has to be alone for few days during the Thanksgiving weekend. His daughter hired a young boy 

(the second main character) who study in high school in order to look after him…

The上校 was a over-bearing people. After his daughter gone, 

he immediately told the boy to fly to the 

New York. 

The boy was shock but he has to listen to him anyways… 

During the New York trip, they drive big, nice, local car; they live in great, 

grand hotel; they eat the delicious, beautiful food; they do everything the上校 wants. 

Almost at the end of the trip, the上校 told the boy to leave first, 

since he wants to commit suicide. He feels depress about his blind. 

He does not want people to take care of him. He thinks that he was the most strong, 

dependable guy in the world but now it suddenly become the weakest guy in the world. 

He wants to die. Eventually, the boy prevents him from death. 

After this changing point of their lives, they both live happy after. 

The person who act 上校was acting extremely well… really really touching me…
