Book I: Psalm 21
Surely you have granted him eternal blessings and made him glad with the joy of your presence. For the king trust in the Lord... (6-7) 你使他有洪福,直到永远,又使他在你面前欢喜快乐。王倚靠耶和华… (6-7)
Dear Lord,
Now I'm hating my life on the earth, because last night, although I was really tired, I couldn't fall asleep. I turned aside, and than the other side, up side down, to the right, to the left, on my chest, on my back, covered my eyes, pull away the rag. But no way could I sleep.
Where were you when I called out in distress? I know you're not to be blamed, my Lord, but those nights are driving me mad. I actually thought of surrendering to Satan, if he was the one keeping me from everyday rest. That was stupid, Lord, and it broke your heart, and I was even more irritated, as I couldn't do anything but to pray and pray and pray, yet meanwhile you kept silent.
Now I know I was tempted, when I lied alone at night for a long time, it forced me to come up to so many absurd ideas and I refused them, and the kept coming, and I was flooded. Why don't you save me from this mess, my Lord, my God, for aren't you the Lord? Now I know you have your own way higher than mine, but, please, Lord, I wanted to hold on to you, but I was weak. I don't know how long can I last from sinning, and the last thing I wanted to do is to sin against you. You're the kindest, the most considerable, the most amazing being I'm ever in contact with. So save me from this waking nightmare, Lord, be my fortress, be my rock and let me find rest, so that I can testify about how awesome you are.
But do as you pleased, Lord, for you ask me to be obedient. And I will listen to you, though you keep silent I will keep seeking you, for you're faithful God and you allow my distress. Still love you.
Be exalted, O Lord, in your strength; we will sing and praise your might. (13) Amen! Lead me, for there's no way I can accomplish anything alone. Learn to trust in you like David.
