Book I: Psalm 3
I lie down and sleep; I wake up again, because the Lord sustains me. (5) 我躺下睡觉,我醒荂A耶和华都保佑我。(5)
King David was being chased by his own son Absalom. How many were his foes! But still he declared in faith that the Lord would deliver him. He remembered what people said to each other, "God will not deliver him." Listen, King David cried out to the Lord for deliverance, as from the Lord comes deliverance. May his blessing be on his people. (8) Our Lord knows his people. He was a shield around King David; he bestowed glory on him and lifted up his head; (3) and today he still does, for God never changes. Blessed be the name of our holy Lord! His people cry aloud to him, and he answers them from his holy hill. (4) His people lie down and sleep, and they wake up again, because the Lord sustain them. (5) His people will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against him on every side. (6) Our God is the One who answers to his children's cry. May I also trust in the Lord in times of trouble. Amen.
