Jas1:1-17 Trials and Temptations
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt. (5-6)
I walked into the room of prayer just now. I told Him how I felt, and begged of Him to show mercy on me. For how can a man fight the sin in his own heart? But thanks to the Lord I can come to Him whenever I confess. He's the Father, and He listens to every word I says. So I told Him about how I longed to participate in a prayer group and how anxious I felt about the idea. I recognized I never know how to pray, so I begged thr Spirit of God to teach me about prayers. Then I felt worse and tears rolled down, as I saw how wicked I have been, and still am, and amid the hard feelings I read aloud His words and found comfort in them. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Nothing can stop the One who overcomes, and I am His beloved daughter. How can I not bow down before Him? Then I asked for the heart to worship, and peace from above, and He listened. Thank you Father, thanks for still loving me.
Blessed is the man who preserves under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. (12) I should endure and keep praying for His will. In that way I shall experience more, as I've always wanted. He chose to give birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of all he created. (17) It's very beautiful.
