Jas 4:1-12 Submit Yourselves to God
What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battles within you? (1) It is because I felt lost again. We are born to be evil.
Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. (4) And we are to be against God, cause we love the world.
But he gives us more grace. (6) But it's him who's not giving on us. That is grace. A flood of grace.
God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. (箴3:34) Be humble, and he will love you. He gives grace to the humble, but he opposes the proud. Do you want to be blessed or opposed?
Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will fleed from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. (7) You got a chance to overpower the devil, that is if the Lord recognizes you. He will fleed from you. He got no other way. What you have to do in order to stop the battles within you is to submit yourself to god. Now this is hard. But what is more worthy? His love and redemption? Or the fire of hell?
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. (10) Submit yourself to God, to humble before him. Confess all you've done against his will. Beg him for forgiveness. He will look into your heart and lift you up. You don't have to do this alone. He's ready, and are you?
Brothers, do not slander one another. (11) Do not slander one another. Cause who are you to judge? You think you're better then them? Do you know all that you needed to know before you sentence people to what they deserve? And what about those who sentence you? It's a stupid act, and God doesn't like it either. Drop the habit, so that it pleases God and you get some ease. Aren't there more than enough troubles in this world already?
There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you - Who are you to judge your neighbor? 你是谁,竟敢论断别人呢?(12) I'm all sinned. Help me to obey you in the correct way my Lord. Please don't abandon me. I don't know what I could do, but if I were being captured by indolence, will you drag me up from this muddle?
