Jas 4:13-17 Boasting About Tomorrow
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. (14) 其实明天如何，你们还不知道。(14) We are not the Lord to have knowledge as to what will exactly happen. I've experienced many unexpected events, sometimes they haunted me because I didn't know such trivia might brought this effect. All I know is that although I make plans, I know nothing about tomorrow. It is because you sealed us from knowing so. Why, we're proud enough already. So I surrender my plans to you, the plans I made last night, they're all yours. There will be many upcoming events which may ruin them, but I know your will is higher then my will, so let yours be done instead of mine. Cuz I don't even know what will happen tomorrow but when it is handed over my life's under good hands.
What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. (14) 你们的生命是什么呢？你们原来是一片云雾，出现少时就不见了。(14) Indeed. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." (15) 你们只当说：“主若愿意，我们就可以活着，也可以做这事，或做那事。” (15) Don't forget you at all times. Don't kick you out. Who am I to do this anyway? To keep you out from the fence of my selfishness. They're only going to destroy me. But if it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that. As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil. (16) 现今你们竟以张狂夸口；凡这样夸口都是恶的。(16) True. Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins. (17) 人若知道行善，却不去行，这就是他的罪了。(17) Still more sins. To our consciousness we know so little! What good I ought to do? I've prayed. I see it and I'll know it. Do what pleases the Lord's eye. May your kingdom comes.
