Book I: Psalm 10
You hear, O Lord, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more. (17-18) 耶和华啊,谦卑人的心愿,你早已听见。你必预备他们的心,也必侧耳听他们的祈求,为要给孤儿和受欺压的人伸冤,使L横的人不再威鴷L们。(17-18)
Praise the Lord, for he defends the fatherless and the oppressed by hearing their desire, encouraging them and listening to their cry. The Lord our God is the Most High! One thing I noticed, is that the wicked in this psalm said many about the Lord. He says to himself: Nothing will shake me; I'll always be happy and never have trouble. (6) He says to himself: God has forgotten; he covers his face and never sees. (11) Why does he says to himself, He won't call me to account? (13) So the wicked man knows God, he just doesn't fear him, and he reviles the Lord. (2) What they don't know is that the Lord has already witnessed everything they did: But you, O God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it and take it in hand. (14) God you're amazing:) It's not that he doesn't see, but his love is shown through his endurance. For God so loves the world even the wicked he with which he bears. But you hear, O Lord, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more. (17-18) Shout to the Lord and praise his name!
