Book I: Psalm 22
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from the words of my groaning? O my God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, and am not silent. (1-2) 我的神,我的神!为什么离弃我?为什么远离不救我?不听我唉哼的言语?我的神啊,我白日呼求,你不应允,夜间呼求,并不住声。(21-22)
These are not good days at all. I'm lost all over again. David cried to the Lord, "do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help." (11) I don't like it when I have to rely on myself rather than on the Lord. But why do I do that? I don't understand. My lack of confidence is haunting me. It is torturing my soul, and I'm weaker than ever, with no one to help. And if I call out to you, will you hear me, Lord?
David praised the Lord in his time of trouble. "I will declare your name to my brothers; in the congregation I will praise you." (21) Deliver me, like you've delivered David. Hear from me, Lord, for I'm thirsty for your love. I can't live without you, but I felt as if I'm walking away. Where are you, Lord, have you been hearing my cry? When will you rescue your maid servant, for she trusts in you, and you delight in her. I shall not keep silent, but to cry out loud. And you, you are God, do as you pleased, for who am I to speak my quest to you? But you are the God worthy of praise, so deliver me, and let them see for themselves.
