Book I: Psalm 27
The Lord is my light and my salvation- whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life- of whom shall I be afraid? (1) 耶和华是我的亮光,是我的救恩,我还怕谁呢?耶和华是我性命的避难所,我还惧谁呢?(1)
Why am I still afraid, O Lord? You are in the house, but I am afraid of hostile strangers. I always feel like there is someone in my room ready to murder me. There were voices in my heart whispering frightening words, and I tried to silent it. Who can run away from their own heart, O Lord? But consider this, you live in our hearts, and stay with us all the while, and no one can flee from you, for no one can flee from their own heart. How fortunate it is for you to show mercy on me! Your mercy is great, O Lord. You are mighty God. I shall not fear, for the Lord is my light and my salvation. I shall not be afraid, for the Lord is the stronghold of my life. Order the devil to go away from me, Lord Jesus, I beg of you, for you created light and shown yourself in huge darkness, so that your children may look up to you with hope. Where is my confidence, Lord?
For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. (5) 因为在我遭难的日子,他必把我藏在他的帐棚里,把我隐藏在他帐幕的隐密处,又把我高举在磐石上。(5) David sang praises to you again, O Lord. How beauty he psalms were! They were pleasing aroma to you and you loved his praise. Your spirit dwelled in him. How lovely this intimacy was! David, faithful servant of the Lord, told us to wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. (14) 要等候耶和华!当壮胆,坚固你的心!我再说,要等候耶和华!(14) I will wait for you to come in, so that my fear will leave me and I will sleep in peace and sing praises to you in my dreams.
