Prologue
Within the deep forest on the land of the rising sun, there laid a private school made only for the royals and elites, hosting and nurturing the seeds of the future society. From junior high to university, students stay abroad during the school years until graduation.
Ria's Royal Private Schools, aside from being a school for royals and elites, is also a school for a special group of youngsters, holding the key to a deep secret hidden behind its beautiful brick-walled flowery campus…

Chapter 1: Thorns of Roses
Early in the morning, inside one of the dormitories, Rose Garden, many of its residents had already been woken up due to a certain attractive smell.
This is one of the oldest dorms on campus, setting away from other Gardens, with no more than ten students residing here. Beautiful and gorgeous, yet there’s a certain intimidating aura about it that kept other students away despite their strong desire to enter, with a few exceptions…
Chinen, who just woke up by the bright sunlight that came through the window, yawns tiredly due to the earliness of the time.
“Yama-chan… why do you open the curtains? It’s so bright outside…” he said blocking the sun with his hand.
Yamada, who stands next to the window looking out, says without turning around, “can’t you smell it?”
“What smell is that strong to wake up the sleepiest guy here?” Chinen sits up straight, and slowly inhales one deep breath. The smell had been filling the air for a while now, although it is still quite faint at the moment but he can surely smell it. Sweet and flowery, tender but fidgeting, this seductive scent is making him rather hungry.
“Ah… I see.” Still enjoying the fragrance in the air. “It’s coming closer.”
Yamada looks out to the forest surrounding their school. This is no strange smell, but one of the very first scents he came to recognize. He can smell it from far away, like a drug he can never forget.
He pulls out a silk handkerchief from his pocket and holds it close to his chest. Its pure white colour was dyed by a few drops of red, too dry to be washed away anymore. On its corner embroidered two golden letters, shining under the sun’s reflection, “K.K.”

A white limousine is driving down the forest through trees standing tall on both sides, on the only passageway to Ria’s Royal Private Schools.
“We will be arriving soon after this turn, Kaiyu-sama.” the butler said.
The girl in the back looks in between the two front sits, a magnificent entrance is showing itself on the other side of the lengthy straight road, along with several testaceous buildings in the back. As they drive closer, the emerald-coloured vines on the walls becomes clearer to the eyes.
The front gates slowly open upon the limousine’s arrival. A gentleman in fine suit walks out with two boys in uniforms.
The Butler opens the back sit’s door for his young mistress. She had already changed into their school uniform and elegantly steps out from the vehicle. The girl looks no more than 15, dark brown hair hanging just slightly below her shoulders.
“Welcome, Kamiya-san.” The gentleman said greeting the young lady.
“Good morning, Headmaster.” replied Kamiya, while her butler and maid take out her belongings from the trunk, ready to be transported to her dorm.
He goes on, “This is our Student Council President, Yabu Kota,” the taller of the two boys takes one step forward and bow slightly putting his right hand on his chest, “my pleasure to meet you, Kamiya-san.”
“And your class’ committee, Okamoto Keito.” He nods in greeting.
“Just call me Kaiyu.” She bows gently in return. A reminiscent feeling surfaces in her heart upon arriving at the school, though she cannot quite make out who or what this feel is directed to.
The Headmaster turns a little on his side, opening his arm toward campus, “we will show you around before you start your first day here.”
“Thank you.” She follows the three of them into the ground, with her servants giving farewells from behind.
“Is it her?” came a voice from the bush. Oddly enough, no one seems to hear it except for one person, “you better not do anything reckless, Takaki.” said he.
“Tsk, pathetic isn’t it, despite how I hate about them I still have to live on them…”
“Yabu.” The Headmaster, who seems to have noticed their conversations, calls out to the boy falling behind.
He sighs, “Yes,” knowing he might have to suffer it later, “I’m coming…”

“Hikaru!” Inoo yells at his roommate’s ear, “will you wake up already?!” Sadly, the volume is clearly not enough to wake him up…
Inoo sighs deeply, “fine, you ask for it.” He walks up to his bass and plugs it into the amplifier which had on the highest volume. He takes out two ear plugs and sticks them in his ears.
Kyaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnn……
To that Hikaru jumps up immediately. It not only woke him up, but also the whole floor…
“Not again?!” Ryutaro, who lives right next door with his brother, heard the bass perfectly through the wall. Both of them pull their sheets over their heads, trying to get back into their dreams.
“Inoo!” Hikaru yells, “haven’t I told you NOT to mess with my baby?” quickly leaps off the bed and took the bass back to check its strings as Inoo unplugs from his ears.
“You told me to wake you up early no matter what yesterday, and you wouldn’t move an inch for so long I had to do that.”
“Did I? Why?”
Inoo rolls his eyes, “you said you wanted to see the new girl today?”
Hikaru’s eyes widened. “What time is it now? Yabu definitely left without me! I told you to wake me up early!” Busying himself around the room in great speed.
“And I did!”
“I mean EARLY!” Dashing off the door.

Yabu walks out from the high school building, anticipating Hikaru’s arrival at anytime now.
As expected, Hikaru is running toward him, hair still a bit messy from sleep.
“Did I miss it?” He said disappointed.
“After all the trouble you went through to ask me to let you greet her with us, you decided to skip at last minute.”
“I asked Inoo to wake me up early!”
“Apparently that didn’t work as you hoped.” Yabu said with a smirk on his face.
“Maybe…” Hikaru mumbles to himself.
“So!” He switches topic causally, “is she cute?”
Yabu groans helplessly before replying, “indeed, she’s quite tempting.” He narrows his eyes slightly at the thought, feeling the sharp fangs.
Hikaru looks at him, also narrowing his eyes but for different reasons, “is this call love at first sight then?” He giggles.
Yabu shoots him a death glare, sending down chills through his spines.
“Okay okay, I get it.” Like the mere-look-in-the-eye is going to turn his stomach upside down…
“You know…” Yabu said with eyes looking far away beyond the remotest sky, “it’s more than that…”

She closes the door behind her, breathing in the fresh air in the hallway. There is something about this place that makes her feel safe and warm within, but she had never been inside this campus despite enrolling in the affiliated Primary School close by when she was young. So what is it?…
Inside the room, Keito is speaking with the Headmaster, who is also his father.
“Are you sure it is a good idea to place her in our class? I mean… they are also there…” said Keito.
“And you are also there too, Keito,” the Headmaster replies standing behind the chair with his back facing his son, “I trust you, and I also trust them.”
“I trust them too but, Ryosuke’s still new to this.”
“Nothing had happened since then right?”
Keito sighs. It is true. At least nothing he knows of… But he wants to protect his school and his classmates, and to protect their secret as well.
“Don’t worry. They won’t hurt her.”
“I guess so.” Keito then turns to the door and exits. “Sorry for the wait, I’ll lead you to our class.” He said to her, and closes the door.
The Headmaster looks up at the huge painting hanging on the wall. It seems to have been painted a long time ago with techniques resembles that of the Middle Ages, but the colours still gleam bright and fresh like a recently finished work of art. The lady in the drawing looks well refined with a superior aura, shining beautifully.
“Am I making the right choice?” He said in a low voice. “Is it that hard and far of a dream for our co-existence?”
The door at the side of the room opens. A woman, who looks exactly like the one in the oil paint, had overheard their conversations from the beginning. She walks out from there gently and gives him an assuring smile.
He continues facing her, “Ria-sama.”
