GCSE~~~~ 83% of all students also gained 5+ A* - C grades. Mathematics and History lead the way with Mathematics gaining 135 of the top A*/A grades (真係淺到爆...英國人maths...唔得ge ma...still have lots of people got...higher grade..有無搞錯) and History 104. French, History, English and Design Technology also gained substantial numbers of A*/A results. Three students gained 13 A* grades and a number of others gained very large numbers of the top grades, two students gained 15 A*/A grades, four students scored one the top five marks in various subjects in the whole of the United Kingdom two being in Mathematics and two in English Literature. Once again the School is keen to stress the depth of quality in its results. As the school for all students in Dorchester these results indicate its success in achieving the vest for every student in its care. The Headteacher, Dr Iain Melvin commented; “83% is another marvellous pass rate which will again place us in the top drawer of schools in England. Taken alongside our 98% pass rate at A level, the School has had another superb set of examination results” *this year..d studebts..讀書唔掂都有咁既grade..... ********************************************************* A-level~~~ The Thomas Hardye School Achieves Exceptional A Level Results The Thomas Hardye School has achieved an overall pass rate of 98% in the GCE Advanced Level examinations. Once again results were well above the national average. 76% of all grades were A – C and 25% of all grades were the top A grade. 25 subjects gained a 100% pass rate. Particular highlights included: 28 A grades in Mathematics The School is especially proud of its achievements in Mathematics which are quite exceptional and buck all national trends. It also continues to be one of the most successful state schools for entries to Oxford and Cambridge. The School prides itself upon its comprehensive intake and its determination to admit all students who will benefit from further education. Once again this has proven to be the case with substantial numbers of students gaining five, four or three A grades, but perhaps more importantly, many other students achieving very impressive results in terms of their abilities. Dr Iain Melvin, Headteacher of the School, commented: “all of our students and staff should be congratulated upon another set of excellent results. These very high pass rates mean the School remains at the forefront of A level results nationally and provides a high quality of education for all the students in its care”.
