| The controversial thing in Blade & Soul |
分類: 未分類 |
| For NA that was the most controversial thing they did (also the amazing disappearing statue nips, but those came back), in most cases this meant adding poorly implemented "modesty spats" to outfits that didn't have them before, as well as mid-riff covering in some cases. This had a far larger impact on some classes when compared to others due to the differing styles each Class's armor typically took (casters were generally hit the worst, see above).
After a certain patch (I'm not sure which, it was after I stopped playing the first time, but before I started playing again recently) it seems something convinced them to stop altering outfits, so any outfits that came out after that patch are un-fucked with, but stuff prior to that patch has not been restored to their original state, so you have to do that yourself.
Based an entirely informal unscientific survey of people playing the game (i.e. idling waiting for raid matching using the dance command), even during an event dedicated to the release of a non-elin playable class, the number of Elin's being played is uh...quite significant and disproportional given the number of available race choices.
So if I had to guess the impetus to ultimately stop dicking around with BNS Gold was partly monetary (it ain't free to alter new outfits every patch), partly time based (see the part about it not being free, but with time), and partly "jesus christ why are elins such a huge part of the paying playerbase" and all that implies.
Allegedly for the EU release they tried to remove all the blood and an entire 5 man dungeon (Sinestral Manor) as a result of that original blood removal decision but got shouted at a lot. I have been unable to verify that claim so take it with a grain of salt.
