Different types of ways and the amount of time using internet may lead to different causes
What actually is an internet? Could it be touched? Could it be a dangerous thing? Internet was first created for military use, but turned into a useful invention for human. Well internet is really thing that connects computer networks and transmits data plus carries out information to the whole world.
Using the internet is good, like to students, we students can now check different websites through the internet and we can gain more knowledge we couldn’t get from school. This also boosts up the motivation for students to learn! Teachers could also give tasks to students in the internet so that students don’t need to bring a lot of book and sheets home to do.
Secondly, for business. Merchants can send emails through the internet and advertise their products. This saves money on advertising on television like for $1000 for a second. They can also make their own websites and to show all the products they are selling to the public.
Third, auctions can be held through the internet. Auctions in the internet allow people to bid things in the internet and they save money from going to the place of the auction and saves time on finding the type of product they want. Shopping is also provided too on the internet, so that you can even purchase things that are overseas!
Next is that in can be accessed anywhere. You can chat with your friends or even make new friends in the internet through tools like msn, icq etc. We can also download movies and music to entertain ourselves too,
Last is that it can be used for military use. It is a powerful weapon, through the internet, professionals can hack into other countries trying to start a war and can have time to stop it so the world has peace…
After talking about so many advantages, lets go on to the disadvantages. Since we can download movies, games, music from the internet, people might abuse it and keep on entertaining again and again and causing students to fail in there exams, other people’s eye sight may get into a bad condition.
Some people we meet from the internet might want to date us out, they might not be an honest person and may sex abuse us, it is very dangerous. Other than this, there are many websites that are not suitable for young people to surf through.
As you can see, many websites are fake and might steal your personal information. Even well-known banks cannot be 100% sure that there aren’t fake websites. If you don’t check carefully, and you give your credit card number and your password through the fake websites, all your money in the bank will be stolen and may lead a lot of people to suicide
Many people who play online games may find that some of your items have been stolen sometimes, why is this happening? Its because that many virus are in your computer and the came from the internet. Famous viruses such as Trojan and GamPass are great examples..
Last is that there might be copyrights through the internet. If you copy something and you don’t put down where this thing you copied came from, the real owner may report you and you have just done something illegal.
What you should do and not do. There are many things you can do in the internet, but you really shouldn’t disclose your personal information. Another thing you shouldn’t do is that tell friends from the internet where you live or when you meet them, don’t go to a quiet place, you should go to a place where there are heaps of people. Shopping from the internet is convenient but try not to overspend your money.
Students shouldn’t play online games through the internet actually, it will affect their results in the exams. Well, even if they do, they should always upgrade the virus protector so that they good make sure that all their items are safe.
