SecureCRT combines rock-solid terminal emulation with
the strong encryption, broad range of authentication
options, and data integrity of the Secure Shell
protocol. In today's security conscious world, it is
more important than ever to protect passwords, user
accounts, data, and computer systems. SecureCRT
provides secure remote access, file transfer, and data
tunneling for everyone in your organization.
SecureCRT gives you an encrypted Secure Shell (SSH1
and SSH2) session with servers and devices. For SSH,
Telnet, and other protocols, SecureCRT has great
session management and customization features, with
named sessions and multiple session windows. Choose
from a wide range of emulations including VT100,
VT102, VT220, ANSI, SCO ANSI, Wyse 50/60, Xterm, and
Linux console. SecureCRT can help you save valuable
time by automating routine configuration tasks with
powerful scripting capabilities.
SecureCRT 5.0 provides a multi-session, tabbed
interface, support for IPv6, and improved integration
with SecureFX?3.0.
Tabs: SecureCRT 5.0 delivers a tabbed user interface -
one of the features most requested by our customers.
Tabs allow you to work with multiple sessions in a
single SecureCRT program window. A click on the "New
Tab" icon on the toolbar allows you to begin a new
session in a matter of seconds.
Integration with SecureFX: Now SecureCRT and SecureFX
work together better than ever. The two programs can
share the global options, session options, and the
host key database so you only need to perform
operations like setting application defaults, sessions
settings, or accepting a server's host key once.
Named firewalls: You can now create any number of
firewall configurations that can be used on a
session-specific basis.
Dynamic port forwarding simplifies how TCP/IP
application data is routed through the Secure Shell
connection. Instead of configuring port forwarding on
a per-application basis in SecureCRT, each application
is configured to use a SOCKS server on a local host
port. SecureCRT opens a port on the local host and
acts as a SOCKS server for any SOCKS-compatible
application, even those that use multiple ports, such
as FTP.
Improved Xterm color: SecureCRT 5.0 delivers 256-color
Xterm support.
IPv6: SecureCRT 5.0 supports the IPv6 standard which
addresses limitations with the current IPv4 standard.
