Jas 5:1-6 Warning to Rich Oppressors
Look! The wages you failed to pay the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. (4) 工人给你们收割庄稼,你们亏欠他们的工钱,这工钱有声音呼叫,并且那收割之人的冤声已经入了万军之主的耳了。(4) What a terrible sight. The cries of the harvesters, loud as thunder, roared towards the Lord, who in his wrath is ready to show anger to the oppressors and perform justice. But in his mercy the Lord wait. Listen to the oppressed! Last night I experienced a breakdown, but the Lord who loves me picked me up and supported me through his another loving daughter. For those who oppress, they either hear this message in fear, or they show contempt and continue their wickedness. Either way they're doomed unless they repent. Listen to this: Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. (3) 你们的金银都长了锈;那锈要证明你们的不是,又要吃你们的肉,如同火烧。(3)
But for those who have been or are being oppressed, this is a very good news, for the Lord is the God who performs justice. He will return their deeds to the wicked. He will treat them the same way, for that is what they deserved. So we wait in joy, we who are under salvation, and have good deeds because we love the Creator, we wait in joy and shout to the Lord for his coming, for the day of slaughter, let those traitors get what they are asking for. They are being tortured inside, whether they admit it or not, for the Lord takes away their peace in heart but they still deny him. Woe, woe to them! We have to pay attention to our heart. Pray for those whether they are oppressing or being oppressed, forgive them, love them, as the Lord do so. May the Lord show mercy on whom comes before him as he bow down and pray: God, have mercy on me, a sinner. (Luk 18:13) 神啊,开恩可怜我这个罪人!(路18:13)
