Inside the suit headed to trial Monday, Apple asks Shop Cheap Ugg Boots Online for Sale! for $2.5 billion over claims that Samsung copied top features of Ugg Kids Sale the iPad and iPhone in some of its Galaxy type of products.
Apple lawyers at Morrison Foerster revealed the figure in a trial brief filed right after midnight Tuesday.
"Apple conservatively estimates that Ugg Boots for Sale since March 31, 2012, Samsung has become unjustly enriched by about [REDACTED] and contains additionally cost Apple about $500 million in lost profits," MoFo Michael Jacobs wrote inside the filing. "Apple also conservatively estimates it is eligible to over $25 million in reasonable royalty damages around the proportionately small pair of remaining sales for which it can't obtain an award of Samsung¹s profits or Apple¹s own Ugg Boots Store lost profits, for the combined total of $2.525 billion."
Prior to you signing off, Jacobs writes: "Apple looks forward to a shot that may vindicate its ip rights. Samsung must play by the principles. It requires to invent a unique stuff. Its flagrant copying and massive infringement must stop."
Minutes later, Samsung lawyers at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Sullivan fired off its trial brief, saying "Apple overreaching Cheap Ugg Boots Online claim for damages is a natural extension of its attempt to monopolize the market."
"It demands the whole thing of Samsung revenues around the accused phones and tablets for that alleged infringement of an design patent that shows just a blank rectangle with rounded corners," a shorter signed by Quinn partner Victoria Maroulis says.
