R A
We are told to wear a mask when when we have a cold.(Passive Voice)
When do we use passive voice?
When the 'doer' is not impodt
e.g.Our school was built in 1953
When the 'doer' is obrious
e.g.The patients were told to wash their hands with liquid soap
When the 'doer' is unkown
e.g.My leg was bitten last night
How do we change an active sentence into a passive one?
1. start with the receive of the active sentence
2. Change the verb into verb"to be"(simple present:is/am/are;simple past:was/were)+the past paticiple of the main verb of the main verb.
3. Keep the rest of the active sentence unchanged.
4. If we need to mention the 'doer' of the action, use 'by+doer' and put it after the verb.
