Jin Akanishi had fans lining up in droves outside
MTV's Times Square studio recently,
and you may have never heard his name before.
But that's why we do what we do here at Buzzworthy --
to school you on cool people. You're welcome.

Jin Akanishi is big in Japan.
And not just like your weird neighbor that wears a shirt
that says that Jin is actually big in Japan.
As a former member of the huge J-pop group KAT-TUN,
he already had a ton of fans when he began his solo career in 2010.
And within a year, Jin has sold out his first North American solo tour,
"Yellow Gold Tour 3010."

MTV Iggy caught up with Jin Akanishi when he was in New York
for a secret three-song performance and a round of fan-questions Q&A.
