Visited the Universal Studio last Wednesday evening. It was an appreciation party for the YOG volunteers, and I must say, it was a very nice gesture from the organization. A pity that my cameras' night mode all CMI, did not manage to capture any nice shot.
It is quite small, even smaller than Hong Kong's Disneyland. It was in the evening and I wasn't feeling well (about to lost my voice after a long day of marathon consultation sessions), so we did not go for most of the rides and performances. The only ride we managed to hop on was the merry-go-round at Madagascar theme park. Short queue and I liked the cartoon last time. The food there was super expensive. Imagine a plate of chicken rice selling at $9.80 (luckily there is a food coupon of $10 each). If you need to grab a bite inside the theme park, I suggest you visit Loui's NY Pizza Parlor in "New York". I think it is the most value-for-money among all the restaurants.
Did not have the great excitement, probably cos the characters are not as appealing as the Disney ones. I only managed to see Kungfu Panda. Haha. Nevertheless, it was a great get-away from work and consultation.
The studio guide obtained at the entrance. Grabbed it cos there is Alex the lion and the silly penguins. And Shrek of course.

In front of the castle. Too bad there wasn't fireworks in the night.

The sign says it all.

My favourite animation by Dreamworks.

Ok, I liked Shrek too.

The entrance to Far Far Away Land where Shrek and Princess Fiona live happily ever after.

Shrek and the innocent looking cat at the Merchandise.
Shrek and Princess Fiona. No mascot so I took a picture of their picture.
It would have cost an adult $66 for a one-day pass on a weekday. Haha, so we saved a total of $132. Woohoo.
