“Ten”, is a number. Is it a perfect number? Is it a lucky number? I don’t know. “Ten” can stands for many things. Ten people, ten cars, ten pens or other things. However those are not what I want to talk about.
Ten is money. Ten dollars. What can ten dollars use for? Buy toys? No. Hong Kong people are rich. They may think that just ten dollars. If they lost it, just lost ten dollars. Never mind. At this moment, do you know, there are many poor people in the world don’t have any food or water? They are going to the end of their life! Now, maybe you are watching television, maybe you are having some nice food… However, do you know, many people in this world are very hungry, they are very thirsty and they don’t have any money to buy anything. Have you ever think about them?
Yes, I agree, a ten dollar is just a small number, a small object. Before, I always thought that a ten dollar is not important. If I lost it, my mum will give me a new one. However now, not. I start to understand why a ten dollar is important. If I donate a ten dollar to the poor people, they can use it to buy some foods or something else.
I always saw some people give some money to buy a flag. When I saw this, I would think, they were all nice and good people. They were not selfish! They tried their best to help other people. I also saw a few people just shoot their hands and went away. I thought they were selfish. They just wanted to keep a ten dollar and didn’t give this ten dollar out to help other people. Do you think it is right? I don’t think so. I know that not everyone can take this ten dollar out to donate to other poor people, but if you can do this, just do it. Try to think about the poor people. Can the little children grow healthily just like us? Can they go to school? Can they buy toys? No! Although not, if everyone in the world donate ten dollars, I believe that some poor people can go to school to learn knowledge. And some of them can buy some foods. We just lost ten dollars but the poor people will be happy because of our money, they can do the things they like.
If you are only a student, you can don’t donate ten dollars. You can give the old clothes to some organization and they will help us to give the old clothes to the poor people. Although the poor people will not know who give those old clothes to them, I think they will still thank us. When I was ten years old, and when I was walking on the road, a lady ask me to buy a flag. At that time, I did not really know why I need to buy the flag. Then I just said no and want away. After that, I turned my head back and I saw a man. He took out some money and put them into a bag from the lady. Finally, that lady gave a small flag to him. I asked that man what have him just done? He told me why he bought a flag. Then I understand. After I went home, I told my mum this thing. She said that it was a good thing. The next day when I went out, I also saw a lady, but not the same lady yesterday. I took out one dollar and gave it to the lady. Then she stoke a flag on my clothes. I was very happy because I have done a good thing!
If the poor people have money, they can go to school and study. If they can go to school and study, they will have some new knowledge. If they have knowledge, they will have wisdom. If they have wisdom, they can serve our society. If they can serve our society, then our society will progress day by day. And our city will become strong and strong. Finally, the science and technology of our city will develop. And we will have many inventions. . . Can you see? Just ten dollars, can change into these things. One would be only too glad to do it!
Maybe you will think that those things are impossible, or too far, but I can tell you, that is not. If we can donate just ten, ten dollars, the things th-at I say will become true! Nothing is impossible. Remember, poor people need our help, we are all humans. We should help each other. Now, my friends, those poor people need our help, do you out of choice? Can you give ten dollars to those poor people? I think all of us can do it. Just devote some, those poor people will have good life. “A ten dollar” is not a small thing, “A ten dollar ”is  not a simple thing. “A ten dollar” can make the world a big change. Change humans’ life, change this world! “Ten”, is important!
