Title: The Suitcase Kid      Author: Jacquel Wilson

     All children should live with their parents and have a wonderful childhood. However in this story, Andy isn’t lucky. When she is ten years old, her parents divorces. She needs to have a new life. She has two different families. She lives with her mum one week and lives with her dad the next week. Andy really wants a warm family. She doesn’t want to live with her mum and then lives with her dad.

    After reading this story, I understand that not everyone can have a warm and good family. If you have one, you must be a lucky person, a lucky child. Try to think about it, what if you are only ten years old and you need to live with your mum and then dad and then mum? I cannot accept it! How can Andy be so brave as to face it? The children now can get everything they want. They may get toys, foods, drinks and clothes very easily. They don’t need to think about money. What about the children in the past? Can they get everything they want, they like? Of course not. Ever life of every person is not the same. We should always treasure the things and the people around us. If something is gone, you cannot get it back, especially the time. From the book, you can see that the girl is unhappy. She doesn’t smile because of her broken family. Friends, treasure your family, your friends and also, the things you have. I remember that I have seen a film which says,’ Life is a process. The sad thing is that it cannot come back again. The happy thing is that it doesn’t need to come again.’ It is a very meaningful saying.
