The next Air Jordan X release is coming up this Saturday with the debut of the 'Venom Green' colorway. This is one of those cases where the newly introduced accent color defines a pair with an otherwise fairly neutral build, in this case, a black-on-black mix of tumbled leather and nubuck. The icey sole really pops with those Venom achievement bars, and along with the two-tone sockliner, these really maximize the essence of the 2014 Jordan 10 Venom Green, but do so with great restraint.
We've never seen black and venom green on a pair of Jordan Retros before, but the colorway found on this Venom Green 10s still manages to feel pretty familiar. The Air Jordan 13 Altitude definitely helps out with that, as does the gigantic black and green XX8 Days of Flight set that hit back in 2013. This is far from a reproduction of either though, with the icy outsole treatment along the bottom probably marking the biggest departure from the aforementioned formulas.
A couple of Jordan Brand releases this Saturday will debut the new Venom Green color. In turn, they're based on the centerpiece for this collection that's coming up a few weeks later, a brand new colorway for the Air Jordan X. This Venom Green Jordan 10 would be utterly insane if that signature shade made up the majority of the design, so instead it has been kept to just the accents on a mostly black makeup. The icey sole makes a welcome return on the AJX; is this pair deserving of an 'achievement' like best Ten of 2014?
