Remember to choose a suitable IP rating for your tape and that you can run more than one length of tape from the same driver if necessary.

Living Room
Look for any opportunity to hide or conceal your lighting; some of the best effects are achieved this way. In particular, use it to enhance architectural features such as alcoves, coving and fire places. Bookshelves will also benefit from a strip of single colour warm or cool LED tape.

Headboards are a perfect place for installing LEDs and will create a soft ambient halo effect. Select the brightness of your tape based on the effect you want to achieve. Combine your tape with a 12v dimmer switch to create variable lighting levels.

How you use your tape largely depends on the type of staircase you own, but if you want to achieve a simple, stylish effect, try installing some tape behind your banister or hand rail.

If you are running a long length of tape, 10 metres or so, make sure your LED Driver is large enough to manage the job.

Exterior/Garden
The exterior of your home presents ample opportunities for using LED Tape. As with your bathroom and kitchen, make sure your tape is suitably waterproofed. An IP rating of 67 or higher is recommended for outdoor use.
