There's a piece of news I want to share. An unlawfully employed worker has died in an accident during working. His wife has claimed for a compensation from his employer. The judge held that unlawfully employed workers should not be entitled for compensation because they are not protected by law. They should take risk of themselves. The barrister of widow complained that it's not a public interest policy to intervene the livelihood of widows and orphans. Some people considered that this judgement will encourage employers to employ more illegal workers because they do not have responsibility for their accidents. While there is an opposite voice saying that this judgement will prevent workers to be employed unlawfully because they are not protected by law.
