| Barlow Pocket Knife History
Now known as the Russell Harrington pumaukoutlet Cutlery Co. of Southampton, Mass., the John Russell Co. is credited with getting the initial American firm to produce the Barlow knife within the States, commencing in 1785. Known as Russell Barlow blades, they were stamped having an "R" around the bolster in place of the standard BARLOW.
