It is a 2013 Mercedes Benz C 220 diesel. The customer complains that the parking sensors at the rear are not working. So we’re going to see what fault codes can be diagnosed. The job is completed by Xtool A80 Pro.

Here we go:

Connect Xtool VCI with A80 Pro diagnostic tool, and connect VCI to the vehicle via the main cable

Put the ignition on (because as a general rule, when you scan the vehicle, it normally wants the ignition to be on)

Go to operate on A80 Pro tablet

Select Europe>> MERCEDES>> Automatic Detection

Read out the vehicle info successfully

The type of drive: diesel

Transmission type: 7- speed automatic transmission

Body variant: Sedan

Steering variant: Right- hand drive vehicle

The go to System Selection>> Drive assistance system>> PTS- PARKTRONIC

Read trouble code

The fault code read out is 923523, and it shows the inner left rear distance sensor has a malfunction. No signal change. Voltage level is too low.

We’re gonna take a quick photo on the smartphone, and send to our customer to order the parts. We are not going to clear the fault code. And will wait until the customer gets the parts and then we’ll do the job and check again, after that, clear the fault codes.
