28歲的大陸演員馬思純以《七月與安生》入圍本屆金馬影后，去年在蘇有朋執導的《左耳》因亮眼外型和出色演技受矚目，她接受陸媒訪問卻不認為自己是美女：「除了嘴脣，沒什麼地方是我特別滿意的。」她說以前是個胖女孩，為了《左耳》一周狂減10公斤，今年則為新片《盜墓筆記》減重又增肌，還用過非常極端的減肥方式：「我曾經７天沒吃飯，就那樣活活餓了７天。」
《左耳》成轉捩點
她在《左耳》飾演個性張揚、敢愛敢恨的不良少女，私底下其實是文青，喜愛旅遊、寫作，熱愛古典文學，連《七月與安生》的監製陳可辛第１次看到她時都說：「你一看就是從小很乖的那種孩子」，她笑說：「大概人生最瘋狂和最叛逆的事情就是當演員吧。」她為演好《左耳》裡的角色，不但減肥，還學喝酒、抽菸。現在回想起來：「《左耳》是我人生的轉捩點，從那時候開始，發覺自己可以為一些事情拚命。」
磨戲苦盡甘來
馬思純始終背著「蔣雯麗外甥女」的包袱，小阿姨蔣雯麗是大陸資深演員，別人認為馬的演藝事業應該一帆風順，她無奈說：「其實我經歷所有人經歷的事。」她舉例，拍《武媚娘傳奇》跟著群演小宮女擠廂型車回宿舍，且因沒有自己的置物櫃，得每天央求片場的人幫忙看顧水杯和手機，她表示：「這些經歷都讓我成為更好的我。」
