To be honest, given that fuel surcharge is so expensive on flights, the best for an enjoyable holiday is not to fly at all... take a bus from Zhuhai, and head anywhere to China... you can use your time and take trains all the way to Beijing, then west across the Silk road to urumqi... and then south to Tibet, etc on the Qinghai-Tibet railway. Could be quite fun (and not that expensive) as well... another way, head west into Nanning, then south to Vietnam, into Hanoi, down to Ho Chi Minh City, then onward to Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore... only then use the cheapest Tiger Airways to fly back to Macau...

Just some cheap ideas of travelling for you... I really want to do the HK - Singapore overland sometimes in my life as well...
