Dear host family, 

    I am glad to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you. My

name is Robin Cheung Yan Wun, I’m 16 years old girl from Hong Kong,

and I was born in Hong Kong and grow up here.

    I live with my parents, 2 brothers and 2 cats. Although my family is

not rich we are very happy and close. I am the one who always give

many ideas in the family. For example where to spend our family day,

what to cook for our meals and or how to decorate our house during

Christmas. My parents teach me a lot of knowledge that cannot find in

the books, I would seek advice from my parents about spending of

money.For example, is the price reasonable for a book like this?

Every time I think the price is fine, they usually think that it is

expensive.Another thing I would seek advice is my school work

and future which is very important to me and them.

     In school, I get along with my classmates, usually I am one of the

activities organizers. Like class singing contest, I help my class to

proceed practice, I am also the host of game on the school

Christmas party. I joined two different kinds of club in school,

volleyball team and art club. I love sport and art! Every time I play

volleyball I feel free and happy, what a great exercise! I make new

friends too. Art, any kind of handicraft; drawing; photography……

are also my hobbies.

    My friend describe me as an optimistic and enthusiastic person,

actually I also think it that way. Every time when I have gathering with

friend or relatives, I would like to create the relaxing and cheerful

atmosphere. Besides, I am a frank and open girl, I express my feeling

easily, I don’t like to keep it in heart, but I know sometimes I need to

endure not to speak out. I like things goes straightforward, a deadlocked situation feels not good.

     Last year, my art teacher asked students to make an art work that

the theme is develop by ourselves, each student can have their own

ideas. At that time I had an idea to make a full set clothes, it is a big

challenge to me, but I really want to try it. This is a good chance to

me, course I want to be a fashion designer! I want to have my own

brand; my own shop in my future. Finally I finished a full set of clothes

successfully. I am very happy that my final product was praised by

people, they even do not believe that it was made by me.

    I have many different kinds of interests, like taking photos, I always

do it, and before I join a photography activity; I love origami, Origami

means make an art work by folding paper, it is amazing. In addition, I

love playing volleyball and reading books. Playing with pets is also my

interest, I always chat with my lovely cats, and they are good listener.

    I apply AFS program, course I really want to know more about other

countries, I want to get more experiences and it is interesting to learn

different culture. I hope this program enable me to meet new friends,

strengthen my self-confidence, and learn to be an independent person.

    Although I do not know who will read this letter, I do believe destiny.
