| 2016 Air Jordan retros, Jordan Brand celebrates the opening of Asia’s largest Jordan-only store today in Hong Kong. Located at 2-8 Wellington Street, among the hustle and bustle of the city's Central District, Jordan 8 Wellington offers a unique and creative approach to premium retail. The store provides a series of exclusive members-only offerings, including custom t-shirts and jerseys, along with pre-registration for access to Jordan Brand product. Additionally, Jordan Flight Camp, which offers product education and training services, is open to members on specified days. This experience further elevates the space’s wear-test area, which invites visitors to trial selected sneakers against the basketball drills and moves displayed on an adjacent digital wall.

Inspired by MJ’s infamous nickname, Jordan Brand unveils the Jordan Ultra.Fly, featuring a Kurim material overlay which takes cues from the black cat. This overlay forms a cage-like upper delivering a custom fit with flexible structure. Its design follows a pattern that mimics the coat of a spotted leopard. In partnership with Foot Locker, the permanent space will expand both its footprint and new customer experiences that build upon the opening weekend buzz, which included key shoe drops and visits by Jordan Brand family members. Carmelo Anthony, Russell Westbrook, CP3, Jimmy Butler, Kawhi Leonard, Victor Oladipo, and LaMarcus Aldridge all stopped by, but it was a special opening-day visit by Michael Jordan – the man who inspired the brand over 30 years ago – that incited the most excitement.
Newest Jordans 2016 Wellington is the first Asian Jordan door to adopt the brand's new design concept, which originated at Chicago’s 32 South State Street store and which celebrates the legend of Michael Jordan through art installations and historical displays. Specifically in Hong Kong, a stunning Jumpman centerpiece by renowned artist Michael Lau connects the Jordan legacy to local culture. A wall of sneakers, encompassing the entire Air Jordan I-XXX collection, and graphic icons on the floor also recall the remarkable journey of His Airness. “Jordan Brand always strives to bring the best performance products and services to our consumers in the Greater China region,” explains Eric Wei, GM of Jordan Brand Greater China. “The opening of Jordan 8 Wellington is a big step forward. We hope to bring this brand new, premium consumer experience to other cities soon.”
