| Jordan Brand released a special commemorative Cheap KD 9 pack with superstar footballer, Neymar, Jr. The three-part sneaker capsule includes the Hypervenom II Phantom boot, the street-ready HypervenomX Proximo, and the iconic Air Jordan 5 retro. The collaboration finds itself building on the theme of greatness and its inspiring traits. Hypebeast sat with the lead designer of the collection, Nike’s Nathan VanHook, to talk about how the partnership between Jordan and Neymar came about, the design process, and more. Watch the video above.Other than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. I would say Neymar Jr. is the third best soccer player in the world, but as a Jordan and Neymar Jr. fan I don’t see this collaboration being the greatest link. For one, many people in the states don’t follow soccer and don’t really know Neymar. And most soccer enthusiast and fans don’t really wear Jordans.
Since the original release of the Cheap KD 9 For Sale the shoe has become one of the more popular Air Jordan 5 releases from Jordan Brand.Dressed in a Black, Fire Red, Metallic Silver, and White color scheme. This Air Jordan 5 features an all Black upper, with the classic mesh on the side panels, and the 3M reflective tongues. Some other noticeable features includes clear lace locks, Fire Red accents, clear outsole, and the original Nike Air logo on the back heel where the typical Jumpman logo appears, as well as on the insoles.The engraved design of a large area of the first year of follow MJ paragraph color. Black upper, red Jumpman logo and metallic silver tongue remind you “trapeze” has been rolling opponents foot Air Jordan 5, vacated system of hegemony.
The Jordan Shoes 2017 will be receiving remastered treatment later this year, and will be releasing just a couple days before the Air Jordan 3 “Cyber Monday”. The shoes feature a white upper with cement print overlays as well as blue tints on the midsole and lining and a grey rubber outsole. ‘Nike Air’ branding is seen on the back tab completing the OG look.
