| New Jordans 2016 created a revolutionary new Air Jordan XXX1 basketball shoe, Now, technically, this is true. The red and black Air Jordans didn't conform to the league's dress code at the time, so Jordan and other players would have been prohibited from wearing these sneakers in actual NBA games. Nothing about the Jordan XXXI will be banned, of course, but there are design elements on both the sole and the tongue of the red and black colorway that reference the sneaker line's origin. In looking so far back to the past for inspiration, Kuerbis explained that the initial irreverence associated with that very first advertisement was something that they were once again looking to embrace. If you've spent any time at all looking into the origin of Michael Jordan's first signature sneaker from Nike, you've undoubtedly heard the story of how the Air Jordan 1 was banned by the NBA. This fact was even highlighted by an iconic advertisement, which featured the camera panning from Jordan's head to his feet, settling on a shot of the shoes while an ominous-sounding voice explained what was going on.
The Air Jordan XXXI represents a balance of Cheap Jordans 2016 tradition of game-changing performance and its transcendent style: lightweight support for the world’s highest-flying athletes, including Russell Westbrook, and rich material details that exude an off-court sensibility. The shoe's first-of-its-kind Flyweave and leather upper incorporates a number of iconic Jordan elements, reintroducing the original Air Jordan "Wings" logo and a subtle Swoosh — not seen on a Jordan shoe since the Air Jordan I and the first time it has appeared alongside a Jumpman logo. And in its launch colorway the Air Jordan XXXI pays homage to the "banned" story.
New Air Jordan Shoes, From a design standpoint, the XXX1 takes a blending approach to modernizing the AJ1. Most obviously, the shoe transitions from Flyweave technology—which has almost a knit-like look and feel—to an older-school leather upper. The interchange between the two materials just kind of happens, there's no obvious line of demarcation. Similarly, the Flyweave allows the XXX1 to blend the Swoosh design into the standard Jumpman mark. The XXX1 is the first Jordan to feature both the Nike and the Jordan logos. With Jordan's own blessing, the shoe's Swoosh intentionally fades into the Jumpman as a nod to Jordan Brand's evolution and emergence from its parent company.
