Mayor reveals plan to keep Kings in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- The wealthy investors that are partnering on a plan to keep the Sacramento Kings from moving to Seattle have finally been revealed, and they're the two almost everybody expected - with a twist Jordan 5 Bel Air.

Mark Mastrov, founder of 24 Hour Fitness, will submit a bid to buy the team to the NBA on Friday, Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson said in his State of the City address Thursday night. While Ron Burkle, the billionaire co-owner of the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins, will instead only lead the effort to build a new downtown arena that he hopes will also lure back a WNBA franchise.

''With all due respect to Seattle, I do hope they get a team someday. But let me be perfectly clear: it is not going to be this team,'' Johnson said. ''Not our team Bel Air 5s For Sale. No way Buy Bel Air 5s Online.''

The Associated Press and other news outlets have reported since Jan. 22 that Mastrov and Burkle were working on a plan to keep the Kings from relocating to Seattle.

Burkle, who also expressed interested in buying the Kings two years ago, had met with NBA Commissioner David Stern at the league's New York headquarters in January before deciding to back out of the bid. Mastrov was among the final bidders for the Golden State Warriors before Joe Lacob and Peter Guber bought the team for an NBA-record $450 million in 2010, and he's hoping the second time going solo in Northern California is the charm.

Neither Mastrov nor Burkle were present for Johnson's speech. Each released statements through the mayor's office expressing excitement but offered no details about the plan Bel Air 5s.

''This is about building a winning franchise for a winning community,'' Mastrov said. ''Sacramento has proven time and again to be a great NBA market. As a longtime resident of Northern California with deep ties to Sacramento, I am thrilled to be a part of an effort to do something special for this region.''

Burkle added: ''I am excited about the economic possibilities for the arena and for downtown Sacramento as a whole. We have an opportunity to transform downtown into a vibrant hub of economic and cultural activity that will create jobs and generate a positive economic impact for years to come.''

Now Sacramento vs. Seattle showdown is set Pre Order Air Jordan 5 Bel Air.

The Maloof family agreed in January to sell 65 percent of the franchise for $341 million to a group led by hedge-fund manager Chris Hansen and Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer. The group already has applied to relocate the team to Seattle next season and restore the SuperSonics, which left the basketball-loving Pacific Northwest for Oklahoma City in 2008.

Johnson has been scrambling to organize local ownership for the Kings ever since.

The NBA Board of Governors is expected to make a decision on the sale by the end of its meetings in mid-April. Johnson, a two-term mayor and former NBA All-Star, believes Sacramento is back after announcing the Mastrov-Burkle plan.

''I've been assured by the commissioner of the NBA that we will be given full consideration,'' Johnson said.

Sacramento is hoping to revitalize the city with an arena at the Downtown Plaza shopping mall owned by JMA Ventures, whose officers have said they are eager to participate. To show local support for the Kings, Johnson also lined up 20 local investors who each committed $1 million. They hope to buy the 7 percent share of the team now under control of a federal bankruptcy court.

One of those investors is former Sacramento Kings standout Mitch Richmond, who was a 2013 Basketball Hall of Fame finalist.

''He will undoubtedly bring credibility to our efforts,'' Johnson said.

The mayor also said that Sacramento businesses have committed $50 million in sponsorships and season-ticket sales for the Kings over the next five years, which he hopes will be enough to convince NBA owners Pre Order Jordan Low 11S Black.

Irving scores 35 as Cavs defeat Hornets 105-100

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Bright lights bring out the best in Kyrie Irving.

Coming off an impressive showing during All-Star weekend in Houston, Irving carried the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 105-100 win over the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday night.

Irving scored 20 of his 35 points in the fourth quarter, including 11 in a row and 18 of 20, to help the Cavaliers break away from an 83-all tie in the final 4:23.

''In the fourth quarter especially when it's winning time, obviously I want to win and my teammates want to win,'' he said. ''Luckily, some shots went in.''

Cavaliers coach Byron Scott sensed something big was about to happen when he put Irving back into the game with 7:08 remaining Jordan Toro Bravo 4s Release Date.

''You can see it coming,'' Scott said. ''He gets a little bit of a gleam in his eye. He hits one or two shots and just kind of gets going.''

The Hornets were obviously impressed.

''Kyrie had a real good game,'' New Orleans coach Monty Williams said. ''He got to the basket whenever he tried to, especially late Jordan 5 Bel Air.''

''Kyrie really took the game over and put his team on his back,'' guard Austin Rivers said. ''We did a bad job trying to be physical with him. We just let him walk in the lane and get buckets. You've got to take some hard fouls and make guys earn it at the line, and we didn't.''

Irving's performance brought the crowd at Quicken Loans Arena to its feet during the final minutes and had Irving pumping his fist on several occasions.

The game featured two former No. 1 overall draft picks: Irving and Hornets center Anthony Davis. Irving made 13 of 22 shots and all seven of his free throws while having seven assists. Davis had 12 points and four rebounds.

The Cavaliers placed five players in double figures in breaking a three-game losing streak, but the night belonged to Irving. After his fall-away jumper gave Cleveland a two-point lead, he hit a 3-pointer from a couple of steps behind the arc to put the Cavaliers ahead 88-83 and prompt New Orleans to call a timeout. It didn't help Bel Air 5s For Sale. Irving was just getting going.

New Orleans missed again on its ensuing possession and Irving converted a layup between two defenders on a fast break for a 90-83 lead. He added another basket after driving the lane and two free throws Oreo 5s Release Date.

Irving drew national attention with his performance over the weekend. He scored 15 points in his first All-Star game, won the 3-point contest and put up 32 points in the Rising Stars Challenge.

Dion Waiters scored 16 points for the Cavaliers while C.J. Miles added 11.

Rookie Brian Roberts led New Orleans with 17 points, tying a season high. Robin Lopez scored 15 points before fouling out, while Greivis Vasquez added 13.

Irving had his worst performance of the season in the final game before the break against San Antonio with six points on 2-of-15 shooting. He admitted before the game he was still catching up on his rest, but it didn't look that way with the game on the line.

''He was just kind of making shots everywhere,'' Scott said. ''He made some great shots, did some great things and the crowd was fantastic.''

''It stems off the trust that my teammates have in me and the coaching staff has in me,'' Irving said Jordan 3LAB5.

Cleveland played the finale of a seven-game homestand, which began with three wins. The Cavaliers then lost the last three games before the break.

New Orleans lost at home to Chicago on Tuesday and then made the trip to Cleveland for an unusual back-to-back set.

Hornets guard Eric Gordon didn't play for precautionary reasons as he continues to recover from knee surgery. He has yet to play on back-to-back nights on orders of the team's medical staff. Gordon, who is averaging 16.6 points, missed the final game before the All-Star break with a sprained right hand, but scored 20 points Tuesday in a 96-87 loss to Chicago.

Rivers started in Gordon's place and scored 11 points. Ryan Anderson, who leads New Orleans in scoring with a 16.9 average, was held to seven points.

NOTES: New Orleans F Al-Fasrouq Aminu had 10 rebounds in 36 minutes. ... Gordon has appeared in 19 games, but it's unclear when he'll be able to play on consecutive nights Buy Bel Air 5s Online. ''I wish that (policy) was over, but we don't see it ending anytime soon,'' Williams said. ''For whatever reason, the doctors feel that's best for Eric. But he's healthy, so it's tough.'' ... Scott will attend funeral services for Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss on Thursday in Los Angeles. Scott played for the Lakers for 11 seasons and remained close to Buss over the years. ''I'm trying to remember how great he was as a person and how great he was as an owner,'' Scott said. ... Assistant coach Paul Pressey will run Thursday's practice and Scott will return for Friday's session.

 Bucks 107, Magic 98

MILWAUKEE -- Monta Ellis recorded his fourth double-double of the season, scoring 21 points and dishing out 11 assists in the Bucks' 107-98 victory over Orlando Saturday at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Milwaukee snapped a two-game losing streak by taking advantage of a shorthanded Magic roster. The Bucks shot 47 percent from the field and had five players score in double digits, including Brandon Jennings, who finished with 20.

Larry Sanders finished with 17 points, 13 rebounds and 6 blocks and Ersan Ilyasova scored 16 points and pulled down eight rebounds Jordan Toro Bravo 4s Release Date. Mike Dunleavy scored 11 points off the bench for Milwaukee, which improved to 25-21.

Ilyasova and Sanders combined for 15 points and 10 rebounds in the first quarter as Milwaukee shot 52 percent from the field and went ahead by as many as 13 in the first quarter (31-22) Jordan 3LAB5.

Orlando rallied in the second, drawing to within 46-43 on Kyle O'Quinn's basket with 3:16 left in the quarter and got within four, 52-48, at halftime.

The Magic went ahead for the first time since 2-0 on Vucevic's lay-up with 8:17 left in the third, but a 15-4 run, capped off by Ilyasova's three-pointer put Milwaukee ahead by 10, 75-65, with 2:28 left in quarter and the Bucks led, 79-67, heading into the final quarter.

After falling behind by 15 with 3:39 left in the game, the Magic used a 10-0 run to cut the lead to five on a Redick 3-pointer with 33 seconds left. Ellis made four of four free throws and Sanders hit two more in the final seconds to close it out for Milwaukee.

NOTES: The Magic, already shorthanded without leading scorer Aaron Afflalo and Glen Davis, were forced to play Saturday without Jameer Nelson, who suffered a bad bruise when he collided with Paul Pierce on Friday in Boston.  Grizzlies beat up on Kings

MEMPHIS -- It had been almost five seasons since the Memphis Grizzlies lost three consecutive games by 20 or more points each as they did in the last week Jordan 5s For Sale.

And considering this was a team that started the season 12-2 as the surprise of the Western Conference, the sudden tailspin appeared to be alarming.

But it wasn't anything that a closed team meeting, a couple of practices and a lesser opponent couldn't fix as the Grizzlies led almost from start to finish in an 85-69 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Friday night in FedExForum.

There wasn't anything remotely spectacular about the win that improved the Grizzlies to 25-13, the fourth best record in the Western Conference. But the fact the entire Grizzlies starting five scored in double figures, combined with the Kings shooting just 34.1 percent from the field, were indications that everything said in the team meeting about sharing the ball and playing for each other was taken to heart.

"There were honest exchanges, a couple of arguments back and forth, that's what you want as a family," said Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley, who scored a team-high 19 points. "You get it out and get back on the same page."

Judging from the Grizzlies' 18-point first quarter vs. the Kings, never stretching the lead to 20 points or more, there were still times that Memphis didn't appear reading the same book much less being on the same page Fire Red 5s 2013 For Sale.

Yet every time the Kings (15-25) looked as if they were about to put together a run, such as cutting the Grizzlies lead to eight points with 7:57 left to play, the guy everyone figured would inject energy into the Grizzlies did time and again.

Guard Tony Allen, considered one of the NBA's best perimeter defenders, made plays on both ends of the floor, shutting down Sacramento's Tyreke Evans and attacking the basket fervently Jordan 5 Elephant Print 3LAB5. He finished with 14 points and had season highs of nine rebounds, six assists and three blocked shots.

"I'm the defensive catalyst of this team, the glue guy, the stopper," Allen said. "Whatever else comes with it, so be it."

Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins said the grinding game fit Allen.

"We got just enough style points offensively, and our defense was strong," Hollins said. "Tony was very focused. He penetrated and made plays after they (the Kings) made runs. He attacked the basket and made plays."

Allen's big night spurred balanced scoring throughout a starting lineup that was missing Zach Randolph He Got Game 13s. Randolph and his NBA-leading 25 double-doubles sat out the game with a lower back strain.

Center Marc Gasol picked up some of Randolph's slack with his fifth double-double of the season, going for 14 points and 10 rebounds. Marreese Speights, who started in Randolph's place, had 10 points and nine rebounds.

Sacramento center DeMarcus Cousins, who had game-highs of 22 points and 12 rebounds, kept his team from totally disappearing. But he had little help, only getting an occasional late-game spark from reserve Travis Outlaw, who had eight points in 15 minutes, including two fourth-quarter threes.

"We had a spurt late in the game," Kings' coach Keith Smart said, "but had we had one of those in the first or second quarter, we would have had a good chance to win. But we could never get ourselves into anything easy to start runs. We couldn't find the right energy or rhythm we needed."

The Grizzlies, who shot 43.6 percent from the field, weren't exactly in rhythm DB 5s 2013. For instance, in its 18-point first quarter, Memphis hit eight of its first nine shots before 11 of its last 12 attempts in the period.

Notes: The Grizzlies have won six straight games at home against the Kings. ... Sacramento had season lows in points (69) and field goal percentage (34.1). ... The Kings' 30 first-half points was a low by a Grizzlies opponent this year. ... Gasol had a double-double, and Memphis is 5-0 this season when Gasol has a double-double. ... Cousins had his 17th double-double of the season. Playoffs 8s 2013... Memphis avoided its second four-game losing streak of the season by recording its second double-digit win over the Kings.

 Bobcats-Rockets Preview

The Houston Rockets spent plenty of time on the road and didn't enjoy a particularly successful January.

Perhaps a home game against the lowly Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday night will help Houston begin February on a positive note.

The Rockets (25-23), who played 12 of their 17 games in January outside Houston, opened 2013 with four straight victories as part of a 12-3 stretch Fire Red 5s Black Tongue. However, they followed with a seven-game losing streak, the team's longest in seven years Pre Order Low 11S Black.

Houston ended that skid Jan. 21 with a 100-94 victory over Charlotte (11-34), which suffered a franchise-record 15th straight home loss. The Rockets went on to sandwich two losses to Denver around a three-game win streak, ending the month with an 8-9 record.

"You never want to lose. You especially don't want to lose when it's self-inflicted, and we did," coach Kevin McHale said after his team committed 22 turnovers in Wednesday's 118-110 road loss to the Nuggets.

The Rockets, averaging a league-worst 16.6 turnovers, should be confident heading into this contest against a Charlotte team which has beaten only one above- Jordan 5 Elephant Print 3LAB5.500 opponent since November. Plus, Houston has won four straight and 12 of 14 in the series, including seven in a row at home by an average of 16.9 points since losing the Bobcats' first visit in 2004.

Charlotte comes to town sporting an 0-2 record on its five-game trip. After shooting 39.5 percent in Monday's 93-85 loss to Chicago, the Bobcats committed a season-high 24 turnovers Wednesday in a 102-78 defeat to league-best San Antonio.

"They capitalized on all our mistakes," said Ben Gordon, who tied Kemba Walker with a team-worst five turnovers.

The Bobcats' 10 turnovers last month versus Houston were their second-fewest of the season, and they held the Rockets to 39.2 percent shooting Jordan Fire Red 5s Black Tongue.

Charlotte, though, will need to do a better job of keeping James Harden out of the lane. The first-time All-Star overcame a 5-of-20 performance from the field by taking 21 free throws - just three fewer than the Bobcats - and hitting 19 to finish with 29 points.

Harden, fifth in the NBA with 25.9 points per game, leads the league in free throws made per game (8.7) and attempted (10.1).

Walker, the Bobcats' scoring leader at 17.8 points per contest, set career highs with six 3-pointers and 35 points last month versus the Rockets. However, he missed 10 of 13 shots and scored six points in the Bobcats' last game in Houston, a 107-87 loss March 14.

It was recently announced that Walker will return to Houston in two weeks along with rookie teammate Michael Kidd-Gilchrist for the Rising Stars Challenge during All-Star weekend. Second-year player Chandler Parsons will represent the Rockets Fire Red 5s 2013 For Sale.

Parsons is averaging 14.2 points after scoring 21 on Wednesday for Houston, the league's second-highest scoring team with 105.0 per game. The Rockets are averaging 113.5 points on 50.2 percent shooting during an eight-game home win streak against East opponents.

Charlotte has lost six straight road games versus West teams by an average of 20.7 points.
