They make pumpkin lanterns and put them outside their houses on Halloween night, they have parties with their friends.
Children go ‘trick or treating’. They wear costumes and go round to neighbours’ houses. They knock on their neighbours’ doors and say ’trick or treat?’ Then their neighbours must give them some sweets or the children will play a trick on them.
At Halloween people dress up as scary things such as ghosts and witches.
Special symbols of Halloween are a pumpkin lantern, a black cat, a witch, a skeleton and a bat.
