MY PLACE

They say My Place is where i live today,

But some days My Place is where i used to live

There's so many special memories I bring along with me

And together they make My Place

It lives inside of me

That's where I want to be

We come from many countries around the world

Where children play with neighbours out in the street

And if they don't,

It means they've gone to work so they can eat

To have free time to play

Can sometimes be such a treat

Our countries may be wet, with flowers everywhere

But somtimes all is dry, no gardens, all is bare

And if that's so,we carry water on our heads to share

Back home we grew our veggies,

Chooks and pigs were in our care

And here in Australia, our dreams can be true

A new land, a promise

It's slowly becoming My Place
