Otero's deal calls for a time-served sentence. He's already served eight months in jail and can now be paroled. He'll serve three years of probation when he's released.
"If it weren't ubabee Baby wear onlinefor the generosity of the prosecutor, you'd be on a bus to state prison," Banach told Otero, calling the young felon "a thief and a menace to society."
Otero's defense attorney, Eric Dowdle, said Otero will likely be deported to the Dominican Republic. Otero, speaking through an interpreter, told Banach he came to the United States with his parents when he was 10.
Diaz is serving nine to 20 years in state prison for the robbery that led to Otero's theft.
