Some weddings make my heart beat a bit faster and this elegant-meets-vintage affair is one of them. From Palermo Photo... I am so thrilled to share with you this beautiful wedding from this beautiful couple. Kate and Danny were married on August 16, 2014. This Brooklyn-based couple decided to swap the Big Apple for the ‘Burgh to exchange vows in the Bride's hometown. It was truly a family affair, with sentiment and family ties woven throughout the wedding day. The bride wore two necklaces tucked beneath the intricate lace of her gown – an heirloom necklace from the bride's grandmother and the groom's grandmother. The bride also held a lace handkerchief with her bouquet, a Puerto Rican tradition from the groom's family. Speaking of the groom, he was a beacon of style and class, yet still sentimental and family-focused, donning a vintage YSL tuxedo that belonged to his Prom Dresses UK father.

The sun shone bright on the happy couple as they entered the Pittsburgh Golf Club to share drinks and dances with friends and family, after saying "I do" at the Epiphany Church in downtown Pittsburgh. Fun was had by all, between the tears and hugs of course.

A quick trip back to the beginning: these two smitten kittens met freshman year in college at Fordham University in New York. As these things often go, they were great friends but star-crossed, one was always taken when the other was single, and visa versa, until one fateful moment arrived senior year at Fordham that brought these two lovebirds together. Danny and Kate have been together ever since, and now are happily married!

From The Bride... Danny and I live in New York, but we decided to get married in Pittsburgh, where I grew up and where my parents live. We're so glad we did! It was so special showing our friends and families a city that we both love. I'm not the kind of bride who relished the idea of spending tons and tons of time planning a wedding, so doing so from another city also allowed us to take a pretty laid back approach to everything. (My mom helped tremendously as well!) I wanted our wedding to have a garden party feel to it, so the Pittsburgh Golf Club, Prom Dresses UK which sits on a golf course in the largest park in the city, was the perfect setting for our reception. The Golf Club and the Church of the Epiphany, where we were married, are both Pittsburgh historic landmarks, so we wanted to the wedding to have a simple, timeless feel. We incorporated a lot of items and traditions from both of our families – I wore necklaces from his grandmother and my grandmother, and my wedding band was my other grandmother's. I also carried a white lace handkerchief with my bouquet, a tradition from Danny's family. Aesthetically, I wanted our wedding to have an romantic, floral, classic, sort-of vintage vibe to it. Loose bouquets, white hydrangeas and Queen Anne's lace with some light pink wax flowers and pops of bright green. Very garden-y, and an (understated) flower crown on me! We just wanted our wedding to be a really fun party, with great music (anything from Beyonce to Al Green to the Talking Heads) and LOTS of dancing because our friends and family are big on dancing. And special thanks goes to our vendors, most especially Maria Palermo, who is not only an amazing photographer but also hilarious and patient and fun.

It's no surprise that when a labor of love unites the photo talents of Lesley Castle with the event design and styling of Island Style Weddings every detail turns out to be perfectly vibrant and relaxed. Combining Caribbean flair with glamorous glitter, everything from the arrangements by Roses too to the hair stylings by Grapevine Salon captured to create a gallery fit for paradise.

From Mary Bartolucci...After months of brainstorming, pinning, and sharing collective inspiration, Island Style Weddings’ first styled photo shoot came to fruition in this labor of love! What a delight it was to work with such a talented group of island friends on this Vintage Wedding Dresses UK collaboration.Our creative juices were flowing with visions of romance, whimsical Caribbean colors and glamorous gold accents. We hit the ground at the crack of dawn to capture the morning light at Carolina Corral, on the east side of the island. Leah, our stunning model was a great sport in calming her horse to get just the right shot!

The cocktail hour shoot burst with colors and island flavors. Vintage Wedding Dresses UK MJ of Motu Bar, our mixologist nailed our vision right on the dot with the tropical garnishes and lush flavors. The cocktails, were not only lovely but quite tasty! A Caribbean inspired shoot wouldn't be complete without rum of course! Loved these playful shots drinking from the coconuts. Colleen Kramper and Michelle Collins of Grapevine salon, used all the tricks of their trade to keep our models looking fresh and camera ready in the tropical heat.

There was no shortage of ey Castle Photography did an incredible job capturing all of the details throughout the weekend! Not a moment was missed with her attention to detail and creative eye. Based in Los Angeles, Lesley is no stranger to the islands. Having been raised on St John helped Lesley explore the essence of the island through her camera lens. Jessica, from Roses Too transformed our color inspirations and vision into stunning arrangements! The bouquets were a festive mix of textures, colors, and whimsy – absolutely breathtaking.

The table setting at Villa Rapture of St John Ultimate Villas continued with our vibrant color and gold accent theme. The gorgeous sun setting in the distance made the ‘golden hour' beautifully romantic! A champagne toast was the perfect end to our busy day.

Although this dream team works together regularly on real weddings, this was our first inspired shoot. As long time island residents and wedding professionals, it was magical to see our vision come together. We hope that this shoot warms your heart as much as it did ours. Enjoy!

From Jenny Haas Photography...My name is Jenny Haas and I am Beach Wedding Dresses UK a Dayton Ohio wedding photographer. I recently shot a beautiful wedding at the Dayton Art Museum with a lot of glitz and glamour so I wanted to share! Heather and Loftur met in college in the states, but since Loftur is from Iceland they lived there for a while. A lot of the guest were from there and it was fun to see two different cultures and traditions come together in one place, and to celebrate one couple :)

Some of my favorite details of the day were the florals, Heather designed them herself [crazy and ambitious!] she did an amazing job! I loved the pops of color and they accented the bridesmaids dresses perfectly. I also thought it was unique that some of the girls wore black gowns and some of them work mismatched pastel gowns. Heather's gown was simple and elegant.

The tables at the reception were covered with gold table clothes and decorated with blacks and golds. Heather and Loftur made CDS for favors with their favorite songs, Beach Wedding Dresses UK and Heather arranged all of the flowers. The Art Institute was the perfect backdrop for all of the details!

Leave the sweatpants, jeans, rumpled shirts and sneakers at home, U.S. media. The royals are coming. 

In advance of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's visit to America on Dec. 7-8, the British royal family is requiring formal attire for any news media covering events involving Prince William and Duchess Kate. The Woodward-and-Bernstein types who care more about their next scoop than their wardrobe will have to clean it up or risk being asked to leave any royal events. 

"Journalists wishing to cover Royal engagements, whether in the United Kingdom or abroad, should comply with the dress code on formal occasions out of respect for the guests of The Queen, or any other member of the Royal Family,'' according to the media guidelines found on the official website for the royal family. 

Prince William and Duchess Kate will make a whirlwind 48-hour visit to Washington, D.C., and New York City next month, giving journalists time to buy their first jacket and tie or skirt suit. The dress code not only applies to reporters, but also "technicians,'' better known as cameramen, who will have to leave the flannel and matching doughnut crumbs ensemble at home.

"Smart attire for Black Bridesmaid Dresses men includes the wearing of a jacket and tie, and for women a trouser or skirt suit,'' according to the royal family's directive. "Those wearing jeans or trainers will not be admitted and casually dressed members of Black Bridesmaid Dresses the media will be turned away. This also applies to technicians."

Journalists better watch it with the camera phones as well, as the royal family also has guidelines for photography. They ask media to avoid photographing any royal family members with food or a glass in their hand or during a meal, and to only take pictures for the first minute after they start talking.
