This time, I am going to talk about the result of our mini project - Green Food in HKUST.
Initially, right at the mini project start up night, I and my teammates tried to brianstrom as much as possible of the way to influence people. We want something that could make people healthier, maybe doing sports? The school has offered a course - HLTH1010. Maybe eat more vegetables? How about locating all the veggies at HKUST?
At the same time, we were thinking about how can we influence 12 or more people. Since people we know at HKUST is actually not much. Then we try to think of the 1st important solution of this project, way to promote our campaign/project. 2nd important solution of the project is that we try to apporach our friends directly to promote the project/campaign, through our friends, maybe we could reach out more and more people!
It is very important as we are trying to appraoch students/staffs who do not know us but to know about the project we done. So we decided to create a Facebook page (Green Food in HKUST - www.facebook.com/Green-Food-in-HKUST-174401586710815/) as a platform and gain exposure to all the colleagues.
Here are some screenshots of the Facebook page.

While the project was ongoing, me and teammates have already tried to approach our friends to encourage them to eat veggies. For me, I always tell people to eat Subway, where they can enjoy a lot of delicious vegetables and right amount of meat at the same time. No worries about the calories!
But, as a result, we can see that there are not much people could actually find out our page and know about what we have done here as there are just two people liked this.
I think the thing that we need to improve is how we can influence people efficiently. Although we have a platform, but we did not give it a good promotion as we mainly focus on approaching the friends that we know. Maybe a QR code? A poster at Atrium?
This mini project has been a great experience for me and my teammates to try to influence people as well as promote healthier lifestyle. While we are implementing this project, we also heard from some of the redbirds promoting their campaign. It is really nice to see so many of us try to make UST a better place!
