The failure in answering the interview question has driven me to do more research on educational issues. I was ashamed that I could not anwer a question concerning the new English syllabus, which is a key component in my subject. Now I know that the new syllabus concerns School-based Assessment (SBA), in which films and documentaries are promoted as sources of language learning. I have read some suggested learning ideas for SBA, and understood what a lecturer told us that Hong Kong's education reform was equivalent to what had been suggested by other countries five years ago.  Isn't the so called new syllabus advocated by the EMB the same as what we have studied in the education programme? Sign! I regret not doing enough research on this area. It is not difficult to anwer and comment on. Anyway, I have to pay more attention to educational issues as I am a teacher-to-be. This is a part of my duty.

I was asked about my plan for professional development. Sign again! I haven't thought about that since I thought teaching was time consuming enough. But a friend reminded me of the fact that every teacher has to spent extra hours on courses outside school. Step is doing such a thing now. Yes, I have to be psychologically prepared for all the challenges ahead.

Now I have realized that being a teacher, especially a "qualified" teacher is never an easy job. I have to progress!
