I am going to give a morning talk very soon, which is titled "School is my home". I haven't got any good ideas yet. Lord, please grant me wisdom so that I can give a nice speech. Let me brainstorm some ideas here. They may be just wild thoughts.
According to Cambridge Dictionary, school is a place where children go to be educated. According to Wikipedia, a school is is an institution designed to allow and encourage students (or "pupils") to learn, under the supervision of teachers.
We will agree to these definitions. However, I would like to use a metaphor to describe what a school is-a school is a home. Consulting Wikipedia again, I found that home is broader than a physical dwelling. Home is often a place of refuge and safety. The focus of a home is love and care. Likewise, school is our refuge and it provides us with safety. And isn't it easy to find love and care anywhere in our school?
We go to school every day. School is actually our refuge, which saves us from evildoers in our society.
