I went to Comic World Hong Kong 32 on 28 of August with Chun Leong Fong. We met at 10:15 a.m and arrived to Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre at about 11:00 a.m.
Comic World is a place for selling Dōjinshi. Dōjinshi is the Japanese term for self-published works, usually magazines, manga or novels. Dōjinshi are often the work of amateurs, though some professional artists participate as a way to publish material outside the regular industry.
Although dōjinshi in Hong Kong has promoted for a long time and there are more and more people like to watching manga and anime, it still is a small group of people 's interest nowadays. It also misinterpret by many peoople.
Fong and me visit Comic World with enthusiasm each times. However, we have a target this time ── to comprehend other drawers 's painting and learn their ways. Why we do so? It is for his dōjinshi! (not only his paticipated in it, there is a group). It was very crowed inside. At about 12:00, a DJ show which precenting Japanese anime song started on the stage. We watched the show and changed to a very good mood♪.
Besides, looking at cosplayers and guessed what character they were cosplaying was fun. My wish is, no one will discriminate cosplay and Japanese culture. Why English stuff you can accept but not that in Japanese. English songs are songs, Japanese songs are not songs? Hum.. stop here.
