Taiwan, WE’RE BACK
Through wind and rain, we came back to Taiwan (a place just like our home)
Wait for two year, LM.C came to Taiwan and hv live. Last year because of the volcanic ash in Europe the live in TW canceled, this year because of the 311 incident, the live was delayed. Finally they came back to TW, the members also the fans in TW miss other side very much and they feel touching. TW is the first country that LM.C come and perform, in TW they hv many impressive memory, maybe just watch their live is not enough to know how they really feel. Through this interview (in Taiwan), we believe it can let the fans feel the love from LM.C. LM.C also took some photos during collecting data and keeps the important memory for all of us.

---Plz talk about how u feel in the live of Taipei (5thJun)
maya:
Really fantastic! Fantastic! The Japan live tour continues until now. Because of the earthquake in Japan, the live was delay, so the live in TW became the last & the best Live. The performance brings me a lot of memories, fans yelled their replies loudly, and it’s touching.
Aiji: TW was the first place that LM.C starts our performance in foreign countries. Although there are many memories, I just want to go to TW without any reasons. Every time visit TW will hv a wonderful performance, also this time, really here (TW).
---How u feel in the handshake event?
Aiji: It is great! Although we hv handshake event before, it is the first time we can sign on our works for the fans. I feel good.
---In the beginning of the live (5thJune) LM.C said “we come back” loudly. The position of TW in the heart of LM.C is it same as your home?
Aiji: Yes that’s right.
maya: just like our second home.
Aiji: I think I blurted out naturally, not because I think about the question before I answer.
maya: Yes, when I was waiting to pass the custom, I didn’t want to queue in the line for the foreigners. (笑) Really treat TW as our 2nd home. The fans from other countries must jealous TW!
Aiji: Yes.
maya: Now here is our home already.
---Compare with the live in other places, do u hv any special feelings about the live in TW?
maya: The feelings is a bit different. Because JP and TW are close. The hearts between the TW fans and I are even closer. Although the content of the lives in Japan and TW even in other countries are the same but perform in TW will hv another special feelings.
---Will LM.C learn the local languages when u perform in different countries? You both have learn some Chinese (mandarin) in TW right?
maya: Actually we didn’t learn much. At first, the Chinese we know is “Hello, we are LM.C” and next should be 好飽 (I’m full) but I don’t think we can use it in live (笑). In other countries, we learn some simple words. This time in TW, the fans improved their Japanese, they can understand what we are talking about.
Aiji: Also the letters we received, all the fans try to use Japanese, just because of love. We read all the letters from fans!
---Then did u received some letters are impressive?
maya: Recently, I received a letter from Europe, when I open it, I saw ‘Hello. I am maya’ in Japanese. (笑)
Aiji: You sure that it is not written in “maya, hallo”?
maya: No. no I received it in Europe, although that fan wanted to try to use Japanese to write letter…Of course, there are still many letters impressed me, all the fans work hard & try to write Japanese, but this letter really surprised me.
---What is the reason let LM.C be such famous in the world?
Aiji: Actually, we don’t have any special feelings we just do what we want, and hv more confidence. Other reasons, I don’t know also. We are unusual, just have 2 members. I think only 2 people play rock music together should be less in the world?
---What problems do u need to face when LM.C have performance in other countries?
maya: During the live tour, I also have the question that can it continue or not. (A: I don’t understand what he was talking about) The most difficult part is that we need to move to other places which are very far, and needed lots of time, can’t arrive there immediately.
---Except TW, which place impressed u most?
maya: Recently, should be the 1st live in Hong Kong. (A: actually just 3 days before the interview…YEAH~HK)
Aiji: Yes
maya: Japan and Hong Kong are close too, finally we hv chance to visit there. The other countries in Asia are close, we should visit those places more, the fans in Asia seems to waiting for LM.C .
---Then how u feel about the live in HK?
Aiji: Great, really GREAT. The first time we visit HK, the fans are very enthusiastic. Usually in the beginning of the live, maya will dace to bring along the atmosphere, but in HK is all the people sing together. Started from the first song, all the fans sang loudly. It’s really different from Japan.
---You both always perform in different countries, so can you get any inspiration from lives?
maya: Of course, all of them inspire me. The fans waiting for us and bring great inspiration and it’s touching. Although the fans are living in different countries and speak in different languages, they still use Japanese to sing together.
---Does it bring any effect to your production?
maya: It just like things are all linked together by music, even my life. We are linked tightly.
---There seems to have a song must let the TW fans listen in the live, was it?
maya: We want to let them listen all the songs from LM.C . if really, then should be the song “PUNKY HEART” because it was written after the world tour in 2009. and we wanted to perform the song in the TW live in 2010 but it was canceled and delayed for twice, so this time we must let them listen.
---New song SDG let others imagine the songs play in the parties. Do you both like to dance? (it shows when I started to translate it)
maya: Dance? I don’t really know how to dance at all. (笑)But I like to listen to the music and move my body. (A: actually I want to write” shake my body” but it seems to be a bit over(?)And don’t know what will u imagine) It is not similar to dancing.
Aiji: I don’t dance neither but I like the atmosphere in CLUB. I have been to a CLUB in TW too.
---Can you tell us which club did you visit?
Aiji: It is in Taipei 101
---The bands you both joined before are rock bands, why now in LM.C you want to try electronic music?
Aiji: There is not much limit in LM.C; the drummer in band is hard to cooperate with electronic music. It is free in LM.C because we just have 2 members.
--- On 8th January, LM.C will have their 1st live in Nippon Budokan, how do u feel?
maya: It is really wonderful, in the 5th anniversary, all the members work for the same target. Not just for two of us, also the past and the future of LM.C, we will show them in the live. We are looking forward to it. We also hope the fans in TW can come and watch our live. Because TW is the close to Japan, although there are fans from Europe and America, TW is much closer than them. Everybody must come.
Aiji: This live include many important value, I hope it will be the most happy and the biggest live of LM.C ever. Really want the fans from world come and join it, also wear the T-shirts that represent their country. (笑)
maya: Just like when we yell “TW”, the fans from TW under stage yell ‘Oh!’ and raise their hands up. (笑) (A: just like in school ?_?)

---I heard about that the other song in “Hoshi no Arika” is sing by THE MAD LM.C.
maya: Really? I see. I think they really like(it doesn’t mean similar) LM.C, they join us until the 5th anniversary. It is all prepare for the 5th anniversary. (笑)
---Then will THE MAD LM.C join the performance in live?
maya: I don’t know, let me ask them.
Aiji: Their fees should be very high. (笑)
---This time we have the interview in the brand new studio of Forward. Can you tell us the funny things during recording. Such as some special requirements or habits?
Aiji: Our recordings are smooth, and don’t have any arguments. Sorry seems nothing special happened. I think should be the time when something need to happened. (A:I don’t know what he mean even it is written in Chinese…)
maya: I don’t have any special requirements during recording neither.
Aiji: You have, why no.
maya: I don’t eat snacks. I don’t have. I can also do it. (A: He means he can control himself and don’t eat snacks during recording)
Aiji: It’s true.
---Plz tell us how you both met and the turning point that let you both form up LM.C .
maya: Turning point, should be over more than 10 years. We both came from Nagano, we are also Senpai and Kōhai in music. Senpai always look after me. (?)(A:don’t know how to translate this sentence)
Aiji: Sorry that I always find you to eat.
(A: I should explain something, How Aiji met maya:U all know that maya was in a band call Sinners before. The vocalist and drummer were roadies of PIERROT, and because of this Aiji listened the demo of maya and decided to work together<~ from VISUALZINE vol.1)
---How do u think about each other?
Aiji: I think maya is similar to me. We sleep in the same room in Hotel, maya spends lots of time to bath. Because he must bath after he wakes up, so both of us will be late.
maya: Aiji is very similar to a Japanese.
---Such as what?
maya: hum…very “elfish” (A: what was he talking about?)
---When you are free, will you both eat or drink together?
maya: We don’t drink but we eat together
---Like what kind of food?
maya: Sushi.
Aiji: Yea, sushi
---what will you do in leisure time?
maya: Do nothing, it’s happy. I like drawing too.
Aiji: I don’t have any hobbies, really no.
maya: Your hobby is moving your home.
Aiji: No, no.
maya: you moved 3 times and just in Tokyo.
Aiji: I also drive my car in holidays.
---What do you both want to try in TW?
Aiji: A live tour in TW. In Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung. It will be wonderful.
maya: For me, I think should be try to have recording here. Produce music in TW.
---Do you been to other place in TW before?
Aiji: Yes, because some of my family live in Taichung.
maya: I haven’t.
