Posted by Bob Condotta The Huskies are back at Air Jordan 4.5 it today after getting Sunday off, and will hit the field at 3 p.m. This week marks the end of what is officially called training camp, as the team next week moves into a normal game-week mode. So that means two more two-a-days --- tomorrow and Thursday. Tuesday's practices start at 8:45 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. Wednesday is again a one-a-day with practice at 3 p.m. Thursday is the final two-a-day of camp but with a little change in the schedule as practices will be at 8:45 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Friday UW has a practice closed to everyone. Saturday's practice is at 10:15 a.m. and is again open to the Air Jordan 8 media and public. Then next week, it's one practice a day, usually at 4 p.m. But restrictions on public access to practice begin on Aug. 31, next Monday, so it you want to attend a practice, your best bet is this week. I see a lot of you have already ripped Daschel for that, but I don't think is reasoning is entirely, uh, unreasonable. Clay Bennett, Howard Schultz, David Stern, and the NBA should fear Sonicsgate August 18 09 It was 1993. Cross Color Air Jordan 4.5 jeans, Naughty By Nature, and the Seattle Supersonics were the rage. Thankfully, I lived three hours north of the Emerald City and during Spring Break my saint of a mother drove this grade nine boy to Key Arena to watch the Sonics play the Miami Heat. I don’t remember who won. I don’t remember who lost (the March 13th box-score shows Miami pulled out a 106-102 victory). I do remember the players: Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, Ricky Pierce, and Heat phenomenon Harold ‘Baby Jordan’ Miner. Most importantly, I remember the feeling of a basketball mad market. It was a few years before the abomination known as the Grizzlies hit Vancouver, so the entertaining Sonics were very much the home team. It was clear Seattle loved Air Jordan 8 its team. It was also clear Seattle loved basketball. You could see it in the fan’s enthusiasm and knowledge of the game. There was also a sense these players were different, capable of breaking out the competitive Western Conference and challenging for an NBA Title. It was a special experience. And something I will never forget because it helped foster my passion for the sport. What happened fifteen years later was also an experience. Only it was devastating. The bond between Seattle and its Sonics broke when majority owner Clay Bennett and his partners, lured by lucrative luxury boxes and a shiny new arena, took the franchise to Oklahoma City. Moving a professional sports team is never easy on a city and its fans. But Bennett, NBA Commissioner David Stern, former Sonic owner and current Starbucks guru Howard Schultz, and certain Seattle politicians behaved in a particularly shameful and dishonest manner. Seattle deserved better. Air Jordan 1 After all, the community supported the NBA for forty years, even basking in the glow of the 1979 championship. Legends like Freddie Brown, Tom Chambers, Dale Ellis, Gus Johnson and, my favorite, Xavier McDaniel turned the 2-0-6 into a basketball factory, which produced current NBA players Spencer Hawes, Nate Robinson, Brandon Roy, Jason Terry, and Martell Webster. All that is gone. Forever. Thankfully, Sonicsgate, a new documentary film, essentially argues that Bennett, with the NBA’s approval, planned on leaving Seattle well before citizens had a chance to vote on Air Jordan 12 whether to spend $500 million of taxpayers money on a new arena. I hope Sonicsgate shows what really happened. And I hope Seattle gets back just a small part of that special feeling from 1993.

Yao Ming is done. By John Nguyen 07.30.2009 - Updated on 07.30.2009 The fans do not want to ED HARDY talk about it. Houston Rockets management doesn’t want to discuss this. David Stern and the National Basketball Association do not want to hear it. The entire country of China does not want any of this to be true. I’ll step up and admit it. I am not in denial. I think Yao Ming is finished. The Great Wall of Yao is a shadow of what he used to be no matter what you fans say. I just do not see it anymore. He’s no longer this worldly superstar threat. Simply put too many injuries on his legs. ED HARDY SUNGLASSES One person cannot handle all of that. 2005 through 2009 has been just filled with injuries left and right. He developing osteomyelitis in the big toe on his left foot, and surgery was performed on the toe on December 18, 2005. He broke his right knee on December 23, 2006 while attempting to block a shot. On February 26, 2008, Yao missed the rest of the season with a stress fracture in his left foot. Then he got injured again with a broken bone in his left foot and will undergo surgery in order to repair it. It has been reported that Yao will most likely miss the entire 2009–10 season. This is just too much. The first Asian player to be ED HARDY MEN'S SHIRTS taken number one in any NBA Draft, he was labeled a potential bust coming in to the league. He proved people wrong, didn’t he? You knew he was a unique player when the Rockets usually let him shoot technical free throws. Didn’t Charles Barkley kiss a donkey’s ass for betting against Yao to score 19 points in one game during his rookie year? Those times were fun. He was blossoming in to an MVP player. I knew he was not a bust, but he looked like an injury plagued player. Those years when he was ED HARDY WOMEN'S T-SHIRT playing with Steve Francis must have been killing him. The guy wasn’t Chris Paul, Deron Williams, or Avery Johnson. Yao’s numbers would have been higher if Francis just did not dribble the ball so much like it was an And 1 street ball game. Then he had to play with Rafer Alston. Come to think of it, he never got to play with a pure distributor. And he still managed to put up “20/10” games consistently when he was healthy. In 2008-2009, The Rockets finally advanced to the second round without the other injury plagued star, Tracy McGrady. It’s bittersweet for the franchise to finally get there and to lose both stars in the process. Is it time to ponder about the possibilities of trading Yao Ming? He can never be healthy just like Gilbert Arenas. Missing the entire 2009-2010 season is not a good look either. Playing for the Chinese government in the summer without proper rest is partly to blame – another case of being overworked. What do you do with the Rockets knowing ED HARDY BAGS that Yao Ming is like this? Plug away at it or jump ship to rebuild now?

This situation gets funnier and funnier. Jonny Flynn was as good as in. What’s Air Jordan Fusion wrong with having Flynn as your starting point guard? Nothing. He’s nice. We saw it a mile away. Then why did they choose Ricky Rubio who is also another point guard? Rubio is nice at 6-5, but really, who were they fooling? It was obvious that Glen Taylor was picking Flynn to trade him or he was probably planning to trade Ricky. Either way, having a nice backcourt is one thing as Rubio has the size to play shooting guard, but his skill set is point guard. How was that going to work? This is the kid that was going to replace OJ Mayo? They now had their point guard, but Jordan 2.5 Fusion they did not have a big guard or a quality small forward as Corey Brewer is quickly showing that he’s a bust. In theory, the plan sounded great. Get two of the best young point guards from this bunch, trade one of them later. Taylor was basically playing Russian roulette. He knew. Most of us knew. People from Rubio’s camp were sending overtures that he wants to play in New York or some big market city before the draft. Many knew that he would not like the idea of balling in Minny because that was the impression he was giving. Of course, he should be grateful Jordan 3 Fusion that he was selected to showcase the skills in the Extraordinary League of Ballplayers. We know he wants to be in the NBA since that’s where the ultimate competition lives. You knew it was bad when Kevin Love Jordan 4.5 Fusion commented about Rubio’s status on Twitter. So he did not want to play in Minny. Then he tried to cover that up by saying that it was really about the buyout of his contract. Can the Wolves handle that? Then all this posturing back and forth coming from his father, mother, grandmother, relatives from generations past, and even his pet mice were playing mind games. Under all that smoke, the ugly truth reveals itself subtly. If he was drafted by New York or some big market city, he would have been in the League. If the reports are true then Taylor lost in this badly played game. Reportedly, Ricky Rubio is now staying put. People looking on the bright side would say, “Oh well he’ll play out his 2 years there and come here.” That is simple, but 2 years of development in the NBA is lost forever. And who’s to say that Rubio is guaranteed to come to the NBA? Just because the Wolves have his rights doesn’t mean anything. Other people would say, “We can see if Jonny Flynn is a bust. If he is, Rubio will step right in after two years to be the starting point guard.” Rubio is still an asset for the Jordan 9X10 Wolves, but he could become a useless asset if he suffers a devastating injury such as a blown knee or a torn ACL. Nothing is guaranteed. Point is, the sooner you get him, the better. I’m pretty sure Minny was looking at Demar DeRozan, but Rubio seems to have much more potential.
