This week’s column is part two of the story of nike air max 90 Grassroots basketball at Riverview Park in North Augusta.
As the Nike Peach Jam event’s success and popularity with the players, coaches and NCAA coaches took a life of its own, it wasn’t long before the girls side of the Nike Summer basketball program decided to take a visit and see what was so special about the Peach Jam.
It’s no secret around here that our staff had been prodding Nike Air Max Sale to consider our venue for its premier girls event. The visit paid off as the decision makers on the girls side were impressed enough to pull the trigger in 2008 and move the Nike Nationals to the Riverview Park Activities Center. There was some resistance from the girls’ teams and coaches once the decision had been made, but it only took one year for the facility, organization and Southern hospitality to convince them that Riverview Park was the right choice.
Just like the Peach Jam, the very first Nike Nationals consisted of Nike’s best 24 16U teams and numerous NCAA coaches. By 2010, Nike decided to expand the Nike Trainers UK Nationals to an additional 16 15U teams as college coaches from all over the country were headed to North Augusta. As the number of college coaches coming to town continued to increase, other girls basketball tournament organizers took notice and made the decision to bring their tournaments to the CSRA area, as well.
