Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson had the top-selling nfl shirts jersey of the summer.

 

From June 1 through Aug. 31, more Wilson jerseys and T-shirts were sold than those of any other player, the NFL Players Association announced Monday. Seattle’s third-year signal-caller, who led all NFL merchandise sales for the entire 2013 season, regained the No. 1 spot after being leapfrogged by Cleveland rookie QB Johnny Manziel in the second quarter of 2014.

 

Wilson topped six other quarterbacks in the NFLPA’s top 10 for jersey sales. Rounding out the list were Denver QB Peyton Manning, San Francisco QB Colin Kaepernick, New England QB Tom Brady, Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers, Dallas receiver Dez Bryant, Manziel, New Orleans QB Drew Brees, Dallas tight end Jason Witten and Houston defensive end J.J. Watt.

 

Just below Watt, however, were Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and running back Marshawn Lynch in 11th and 12th place, respectively. Sherman was the second-best selling NFL defender behind Watt, and Lynch was the top-selling running back from June through August.

 

Free safety Earl Thomas ranked 41st among the NFLPA’s top 50 in jersey sales, and wide receiver Percy Harvin snuck in at No. 49.

 

In case there’s any confusion, we’re talking about apparel officially licensed by the american football jerseys. Knockoffs and unlicensed jerseys or shirts were not accounted for.
