I ♥ NZ

    This was my last day to stay in NZ. In the morning, we had the conclusion of this study tour altogether with the principals and teachers. Then, we had the mass in the church to thanks our loard in these 18 days blessed us everytime and everywhere.

    After the mass, we visited the Auckland Zoo. The zoo is really big and we saw many animals there, such as, lions, tigers, hippoes, kiwis and so on. This was my secound time to see kiwi, the first once was in to Rainbow Spring but we could not see the kiwi there clearly. At the end of this trip, I could see the kiwi clearly in the zoo. ^^
     At 11:00 p.m, we departed New Zealand and came back HK. Our trip was successful to end. I really enjoyed this study tour!

    Today was my last day in the school and we did the farewell togther. The principal of our school in NZ gave us the certificate. We had the conclusion with the students and teachers there. I have learnt a lot about New Zealand through the school leassons.These 18 days were really fast to pass, it's time to say goodbye...I'll miss you (friends in NZ)!

   Yesterday, we learnt the maori designs. Today, we had another topic --- the NZ native birds, likes: Huia, kiwi, albatross...etc. Lat me introduce you some information about albatross, they are the biggest sea bird in the world. From albatross's tip to tip, the royal albatross can be 3 m!
    Then, we read some books about the NZ native birds. We used our own words to write the story again and drawed the pictures with the story. Finally, we reported to our teachers and friends. I learnt more things about NZ from now on!

    Today, we had the leasson about Maori designs. Firstly, our teachers introduced us what maori designs are. Maori designs were one of the maori culture and they were usually to adorn the houses of maori people. Just like our Chinese a handful of nation, they have their specaial designs also. Then, we started to design our maori design.     Today, we firstly visited the Cornwall Park. Along the way that we walked up the hill, we saw lots of sheep. The Cornwall Park is one of the national parks in NZ . On the hill, we could see the whole view of Auckland, including the Skytower and Crossharbour Bridge.
    After visited the Cornwall Park, we went to the Kelly Tarlton. Kelly Tarlton is a person who was the first man to the NorthPole. He wanted to show the things that he saw in NorthPole, so he built the 'Kelly Tarlton'. Kelly Tarlton is simliar to our Ocean Park. But we could see lots of penguins there through we rode on the car. The penguins are so cute. We could also see special types of fishes, sharks, shells...etc. there.

  

    Today, we did the projrct of famous New Zealanders. Firstly, my grouped chosed Jonah Lomu to be the famoue New Zealander. Then, we found out the information about him on the Internet and books. Jonah Lomu was a good rugby player, once he was sick, he wasn't really unhappy. He faced the sickness and the medical treatment partiently, and played the rugby again. I thought he was a great person with his spirit on rugby.

    In the morning, we visited the Rainbow Springs. We saw the different types of plants, fishes and birds. We watched the kiwi birds there also, it was my first time to watch the kiwi birds. When you enteranced the Rainbow Springs, you will fell that it's close to nature because the environment there is green.


    After the sightseeing in Rainbow Springs, we visited the Te Puia. Te Puia are the maori words, it showed the boilng mud pools and all the things about maori there. I have learnt a lot about maori there because we could see the models of maori houses, designs and the Huka shows. These three days in Rotorua are really joyful and I enjoy this tour to Rotorua!

    The first activity of this day was go to the Redwood Forest. The area of the Redwood Forest is very large and it's easy to get lose without anyone. In there, we saw many tall trees which were over than 100 years! We also found the NZ national plant --- Sliverfern. We walked along the forest about an hour. After that, we headed for Taupo and did the sightseeing. There, we visited the Geothermal Power Station first. It is the secound largest geothermal power station in the world! Than, we visited the Lake Tapou which is the same as the area of Singapore! Along the Lake Tapou, we visited the sie of Bungy Jump and Huka Falls also. In the evening, we came black to Rotorua and visited the Rotorua Gov. House and the Gov. Garden. The special part of the Gov. House because it's design is mix to maori design and the Western Europe design. In the Gov. Garden, we found that the trees there are very queer and special!
