I'd heard about WoW, but never really followed up guild wars 2 gold on it. I played Warcraft a couple of times when it came with a PC Gamer demo disc, but it never did anything for me. (how long ago was that???)

Then I saw that South Park episode, and laughed my ass off about it, and thought, "That looks kinda neat, even if it's staged for the show...."

I'm a PC tech, and one of my customers was having a problem with their system running WoW, and wanted me to look at it. They didn't want me playing their toons, so they said I could make a new one myself to test it with, so reluctantly, I did.

I was hooked. I liked the open-worldedness of it, and just enjoyed it. I proceeded to buy my own copy later that week. I then got one of my co-workers to do so as well, they had played the same toon on that customer's machine. (the customer had a bad video card in case anyone cared, I wasn't just playing WoW  )

So I joined during BC, and been playing since.
