Rocky: Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place, and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you. You’re better than that!
的確，最近一年不順心的事太多，要面對的事太多。根本閑不下心來好好想想前路。每天工作過後一直在想：這份職位、這個行業可以讓我待多久？我看不到繼續晋升的機會，也對接下來會晋升的位置感到有點無所適從。全香港同一類型的公司不超過六間時，晋升的昇幅又顯而易見，留下來的話我是浪費時間。當可工作的公司太少，而工種的壽命又短，很可能我會在四十多歲時失業。（雖然我會繼續進修，但畢竟最初的學業成績很重要。大學生們不要抱怨自己薪水差，因為你之後的路會好走一點，也比較不會容易一開始便走錯和拐遠路。）
轉行失敗了，工作沒有了，我必須承認我現在的狀況不是太好。那當初離開的決定是對是錯？我仍然覺得是對的，雖然有點倉促。一直以來的成功，甚或有人會說是僥倖並不算什麼。正如上所說，所能接受的打擊才是肯定一個人成功的因素。現實生活的確能給人帶來無數打擊，並且一次比一次強。在得到克服困難的成功感的同時，是不是能繼續準備並克服下一次更沈重的打擊，才是持續成功的要訣。
