In 2007, there were many precious memories. 

I have traveled to many places in different parts of Mainland

during summer and Christmas holidays.

I made many new friends from different places. 

      The most memorable one was the trip to
      Guang Xi during the Christmas holidays. 
      Although this trip last only for four days,
      it was very meaningful for me. 
      On the second morning of the trip, we had to travel
      by bus for more than an hour we went to a remote village
      and volunteered to teach the poor children.
        I remembered the meeting before the trip,
      the captain has told us a story. 
      He said he visited a poor village before.
      At that time he has prepared a pair of new shoes 
      as a present. When he gave them to a child and asks
      him to wear them to make sure they fitted him,
      the child said he didn’t want to wear them. 
      Then, the captain asked for the reason and the child answered,
       " If the pair of shoes were worn-out, he will not have a new pair. 
                                 But if his feet were hurt, they would get well soon. "
      At first I think the story was ridiculous.
      But when I arrived there I really saw some children without shoes. 

      The children there were very enthusiastic. 
      When we arrived the school, 
      they had already lined up on the two sides
      of stairs and clapped their hands loudly. 
      My group taught English to P.6 students.
      Actually, we only taught three English songs
      to them and a teacher in that school told us
      they have just learned English until P.3. 
      In the classroom, they were very quiet and polite.
      No one was taking during the lesson. 
      They were very attentive to what you were saying.
      If you ask them some questions,
      they will answer you quickly.

I thought a lot about the value of life after the trip.
I think I am very lucky because I have what I need.
After this trip I will more cherish what I have now,
such as my lovely family and my best friends and
I will keep on working hard on my study like the children in Guang Xi.
If I have a chance, I would still join this kind of trips because
this is a very good experience in my life!
